Interested in finding some cost effective bolt on's to help turn some 37" tires I will
Be installing next month. Just bought a hypertech speedo calibrater so a programmer is not really the way I was looking Considering I just spent too much on this one and immediately found the diablo sport trinity which I should have got! (cause it does everything not just speedo ) But... more exhaust and maybe intake? But don't want cold air cause the truck is used offroad alot. Any ideas would
Be appreciated!

Well, your biggest gains are going to be with a programmer. What year is your truck? Diablo doesn't work with 2012's. I have a Bully Dog programmer and it shows some nice butt dyno gains even on the regular 87 octane tune. 91 tune feels a bit stronger. My other mods include JBA shorty headers, magnaflow Y pipe, magnaflow 14" muffler dumped at rear axle, LMI intake tube (uses stock air box, gets rid of restrictive rubber intake tube), K&N drop in filter, & Moes Performance 85mm ported throttle body (would recommend 87mm). That's pretty much all you can do unless you crack open the engine.
A higher stall torque converter would also be a great mod for turning those bigger tires. That's on my wish list of mods. I also plan on adding some Carli suspension parts (something close to the Performance 2.0 system) and going with some 35's sometime in the future, maybe end of this year.

Two more quick notes.
Moes Performance is the best place to get your Hemi parts. He has the best prices on just about everything.
You can see pics of most of my mods in my build thread over on DodgeTalk.

Why not a cold air kit?
I've been using an AirAid #301-2037 w/ the SynthaMax dry filter and pre-filter for the last 18 months in dustier conditions than most people will ever see. It doesn't pass dust - the intake tube is completely clean, like white glove clean.
I'm just along for the ride...

Diablo supports the 2012. I installed a Diablo Trinity in my 2012 2500 Longhorn. Performance was slightly noticable, but mileage increased 2mpg.

It must be recent then. I bought mine a few weeks before they actually launched 2012 support and once it was released, myself and a couple others with 2012 2500's got put on the back burner with useless tuners. I gave it about a month and jumped shipped. Still happy with my Bully Dog.

Thanks so much for the info the intake tube and throttle body sound like good places to start along with a high flow filter. Next will be exhaust just don't want to make it louder for nothing. Used to run a flow m. 40 series 3" and it sounded great for first three months on my old truck but then just annoying. Quiet is nice to that way I get to hear the suspension creeking on full articulation :p programmers are alittle dicey especially on the new trucks I don't enjoy the idea of playing with 1's and 0's in order to make
Power granted it works they aren't the most reliable thing when it comes to age and the elements well not in my experience anyways. I will try some small things first for intake and exhaust then once warranty is up I would look at full headers a higher lift cam maybe a 6.1 manifold and have it fuel mapped to match the mods? I have to focus on getting this lift and tires installed first to actually see if I'll miss the lost ponies that much after all it still has almost 400 horse lol

I've ran programmers on just about every vehicle I've owned and have never had an issue. As soon as Diablo starts supporting my 2014 Jeep, it will get one too. Programmers are simply the best way to make power, especially when combined with supporting mods.
If you want a quiet, high flow exhaust, I would have a Magnaflow 22" welded up in place of the stock muffler. This will be pretty mild but is a straight through design muffler with no restriction. A Flowmaster 40 series doesn't flow enough air for a Hemi.
And you're definitely going to notice the power loss with bigger tires. Almost 400HP sounds great, but it's also a 7500 lb truck...

Yes it is a HEMI. Noticable difference, but I'm still running factory intake and exhaust.

Maybe I will try a programmer like that later down the line when warranty is up. Cause if my knowledge on the warranty system is fairly extensive and even flashing a truck back to stock will leave a flagged code in the trucks ecu that usually signals another system that the trucks been tampered with. Usually voiding your power train warranty instantly. At least that's how the Germans do it. And I'm still paying for this thing so I'd like the warranty to stay active. At least ecu wise. I know the Chrysler dealer I deal with told me they use a speedo corrector like I got just to change speedo calibration. Whether that does the same thing I don't know but they sold it to me so I'll hold them responsible if it does! So the cold air sounds better for now but I wish I could find one with an updated tube design that will restrict water as well as the factory unit...:/

Does anyone know if there is or will be available a unit like the bully dog for the jeep where it comes with other functions(mostly lockers) specifically for the power wagon? I did Email them but never got a reply

in my opinion all options suggested above will not put you back to stock power at the wheels. running 37's really requires a gear change for the best bang for the buck and we know that won't happen with our axles.

I live at 6000ft and putting 35" on was a very noticeable change in mpg and power lets put it this way I'm getting another set of wheels and 33" tires for summer, town and road trips. Pulling the razor up to the mountains at 8500ft plus kills it with 35"s.

Actually I was very impressed with the newer hemi and the six speed in my truck the 37" tires didn't decrease power or mpg nearly as much as I thought they would! So might be sticking with stock for awhile worst case scenario there's tow/haul button if I need to increase Rpms for some hilly areas

I envy all of you at lower elevations! I didnt notice it around town too much(power wise-mpg oh ya) but did notice it on highway and really towing at highway speeds.

I have 35s and towed a 9500 pound trailer 850 miles 2 weeks ago and it pulled great. A few large and long hills coming into Albuquerque caused me to slow down a bit but otherwise it was great. Without the trailer and with the Bully Dog, I certainly don't notice a loss of power.

Does anyone have any experience with both the Bullydog and the Diablo on the same truck with same mods? Trying to decide which way to go.

I do. If you're just using the canned tunes they are about the same. It's the custom tuning by Hemifever that makes the Diablo a lot better, IMO.

I am interested in the 87 octane tunes primarily. Is Hemifever's 87 octane tune better than Bullydog's? I couldn't find anything on Hemifever's site that helped me out with that...

Since it's his custom tuning, it's hard to say how much power he adds but you can guarantee it's more that what Diablo advertises on their website. Take a look at their site and it will show what their canned tunes add. He has only sent me his baseline tune so far and it pulls so much harder than the BullyDog did. I can't wait til I actually get some time to do some data logging and get it dialed in.
