I emailed hemifever about the lockers and he said it will not touch them.

I'll look on their site tomorrow after work and see if mine needs an update. I think I updated it back at the beginning of the year and didn't notice anything new.

Well F...
I was hoping on saving some cash and not having to buy a tuner AND a locker bypass. Guess the bypass kit will be the first on the list.
Why would they tease us like that on there website!? I'm sure sometime down the road someone will crack the code to be able to do this with programming.

Well, it did need an update, and in traditional DiabloSport fashion I updated it which in turn broke it. After I updated it I went to choose my vehicle from the list to make sure it was correct before I started messing with a tune and after I choose my truck, it reboots and then freezes at a black screen. I unplug it and try again, same thing. I try a trick to hard boot it after it does that, it turns on fine, continue to choose vehicle again, black screen. Tried 3 times and said to hell with it and stopped messing with it. So I guess it's back to being a $600 paper weight until they fix it or it magically starts working one day. I swear, they have the WORST tech support or tech department in the tuner business.

X2 on the horrible tech support. My intune won't make any changes to the adjustable parameters. Been trying for months to figure it out. They have told me it's a known problem then suddenly only my truck has the issue and now they are saying it's an issue they have heard of before. They only suggested I try to return it.

Luckily Sean at hemifever was able to write a tune with 35s already set in. He's been fantastic.

When I first got the intune, it had the same issue with the freezing. He allowed me to return it and sent me out a new one.

I will let you in on a secret that may or may not make you happy... The tuner was adjusting your tire size all along, it just tells you it failed.
I found that out messing with mine one day. They told me it was a known issue back in July when I bought it to. It was one of the reasons they told me to just buy a AEV procal to adjust whatever I wanted.

I guess I am glad to hear I am not the only one struggling with the tuner. They did say that the changes may have occurred during the failure. Diablo said that if you go back to the parameter page the change should be reflected. In my case, it never reflected the changes.

I got my 35s installed this weekend and will play around with the tuner to try to figure something out.

Hi everyone - new member here, looking to pick up a new truck and trying to decide between a couple options...the PW being at the top of my list. Sorry for reviving an older thread but was wondering for those that tuned, either Hemifever or other, now that you have had the tune on for awhile, what are your continued thoughts on it?

Also, for those that tuned, did you also install an intake, throttle body, and/or exhaust and do any of those make a difference once tuned?

Thanks in advance!

Welcome! I've been using the the Hemifever 91 octane tune for about 4 months now and I absolutely love it. The biggest difference that I noticed was a mileage increase, the shift points, shift timing and shift firmness. I run a fastman throttle body and flowmaster 50hd as well. I cant recommend sean at hemifever and his tunes highly enough, it really wakes up the 5.7s

Does the Diablo tuner allow changing of shift points on the 2014+ power wagons? I thought I had read that it didn't.

Thanks for the info! Having a hard time with the power level of the PW's with the 6.4 vs getting a regular 2500 and doing suspension work to make a psuedo PW and getting the diesel for the more power. With wanting to put 37's on, my thought is the diesel will keep the mpg's up more than the 6.4 but I haven't gotten as far as driving a PW yet, none close to me so planning a trip tomorrow to go drive one, maybe the 6.4 will surprise me. It feels like Dodge/Ram detuned the SRT engine to far...I don't think I would be second guessing my choice if the PW 6.4 was closer to the 485HP in our Jeep SRT...

I think it is the weight factor of the 2500 regular, and Power Wagon that made the Ram engineers detune so much power. I'm thinking when they get a more bullet prof tranny you will see factory horse power closer to 500 without forced induction. I do agree if your looking for raw power the 6.4 can't compete with a diesel. I just don't care for a diesel as a daily driver. My Power Wagon has enough power to tow most anything I want to drag behind it without much trouble!

There was a thread on here recently about engine differences. My understanding was that the 6.4 in the Ram is a completely different engine than what goes into the cars and Jeeps. The truck engine is way heavier duty. Trucks don't need 500hp anyway, they need lower end torque. And the transmissions in the new Rams are hell-for-stout. Gas Rams have had pretty dang solid transmissions since 2003. I've always been afraid of dodge trannys coming from the diesel side, but I have no fears about my current transmission in my 2011. The new trucks tranny is even way beefier still.
