Just for reference, with my 35's and ~2" front lift, I am still under 7' tall. My garage door is also 7" and I've got about an inch to spare.
Good to know, thanks for the info.

I get the EXACT same numbers as MOPARmaniac mentioned in his first post and I'm at about 350' above sea level. Stock everything except for dual exhaust and a Trinity tuner on a 87 performance tune. Haven't tried the MPG tune yet, but doubt it will help. I do have a question to throw in here though for anybody that has a Trinity. I was going through the parameters looking for a few things to modify and I saw that I could turn the MDS (4 cylinder shut-off) on and off or cancel it. Anyone know if it would actually do anything? I thought our trucks (2500s) didn't have MDS.?
Just a little edit, I tried the MPG Booster tune on the Trinity earlier today and it MAYBE gave me 1 or 2 mpg at the most on the highway between 55 and 75. Could have been nothing but the little amount of wind too, hard to tell. Just kind of solidifies the fact that a tuner isn't worth the money for getting better mpg in these trucks.

The 5.7 in the HDs don't have MDS, but it's still listed as an option on the Diablo. Won't do anything if you change it.

So have you ever landed on what kind of truck you might want to replace the Power Wagon?

Not 100%. Part of me wants another Power Wagon but that puts me back in my uncontrollable modding addiction. Lol. I'm leaning towards a Mega Cab Laramie. I keep trying to talk myself into a lower trim level Crew Cab but keep going back to the Laramie Mega. I know you guys think I'm crazy, but I really want more of a street truck, since that's the only duty they PW sees anyways.

My truck is 95% Pavement Princess, but when I have needed the lockers I've been glad to have them. I understand the urge for a Mega Cab, but with it being just the wife and I, I don't need the extra cab room. At 6'8" there's enough room in the truck for me, and if there are four of us in the truck the shortest one has to sit behind me.

With an 8 month old and future plans for another, the Mega Cab will be nice.

I don't blame you for wanting the mega cab. A buddy of mine has a 3rd gen mega cab and it was like having a mini van/truck. We go to a local race track and race quads and he folded the back seats down and stuffed all his gear, an air pig, a small tool box and a good sized cooler in there and still had enough room for a tent, 2 sleeping bags and quite a few other things if you stacked them right. I guarantee you could pull out a sleeping bag and use it as a sleeper cab like a semi if you needed to. And the Laramie just adds the icing to the cake with all the gizmos and tech it adds. I think I'd be cool to see one setup like ours, especially with your touch on it. Could be VERY interesting....

You could always buy a Mega Cab and then do the AEV Conversion. That would be AWESOME!!!

Yes, that would! I don't want big tires though. 33's keeps it much more drivable.
That baby diesel is still bouncing around in my head too. LOL

If you're going to get a 2500, get the mega cab- not much point else-wise, might as well keep your current truck if you go crew cab, IMO. At least with the mega cab you are getting all that extra space! (oh yeah and definitely go 6.4L!!!)
If you're going 1500 (ick!), get the Eco diesel- so it's something totally different!!! I'd wait a year or two for the bugs to get worked out though, IMO. Much as I am not a fan of IFS rigs, I do envy the fuel economy of the Eco diesel!!! (Also, I like diesels)
I do have a favor to ask though- please come up with a ESC/ABS bypass kit before you get rid of your Power Wagon, please!!!!

I've pretty much made up my mind that I want a Mega 6.4L. There's no way in hell I could buy a 2014 2500 and not get the 6.4L! That's just crazy. LOL.
I've thinking about the ESC/ABS that you could just pull the ABS fuse. I think that's going to be the best way to bypass it, for now at least. I also don't see any reason why I can't continue building bypasses if I sell the Wagon...
You guys do know that you can hold the ESC button down for 10 seconds while in 4Hi and disable the ESC more than just a single press, right?

The fuse is J07 BTW. It's a 30 cartridge fuse for Antilock Brakes Valve/Stability Control System. Pop it out, enjoy your day offroading, and pop it back in for the ride home.

Personally I would keep your wagon and buy a cheap 1500 or car for commuting or a minivan. Save the gas and the k's on ur pw but keep your ability to use it wheel it haul with it and show it off. I understand gas prices and everything suck and cost of ownership isn't cheap however there are many Benifits to keeping your truck. You won't get your money back mine aswell have a bad ass ride that needs nothing and you know what's done to it etc. also owning a 2500 is much more reliable it seems then the 1500's I have heard about steering rack problems etc in the newer baby rams. Also if your looking at a t.d. Id buy an older one just because the newer versions are chocked full of emissions restrictions and cost more on fuel and repairs then a hemi ever will. This translates everywhere when u see a 2006 c.t.d going for more money then a 2013 with the same mileage lol.

I have seen you in Oklahoma before... You are what inspired me to buy a PW!!! I seen your truck at a kum and go and I told my wife I am getting one.. We'll long story short I have a PW now and I am never looking back to getting a 1500. When I get back from airforce basic I am even thinking about trading up to a 2010 PW( or 11)

Didn't know you lived in Oklahoma. I was just down there this last weekend riding at Little Sahara Riding Park, didn't see any PWs, just a bunch of lifted 2500 CTDs or '14 Chevys with Dmaxs. I was wanting to try my truck out in the sand but wasn't sure if I would get around very well with the weight and only have the lockers in Lo range. So basically I'm saying I also need 1 of your bypass kits....

I didn't think I would ever get around to installing it but finally made myself make time to do the install last night. The locker bypass kit is truly a well made and well thought out product. The instructions were spot on except I had to choose another mounting location for the box on my 2013. There is stuff in the way that can't be moved on the 2013s. It took about an hour to do the install not bad at all really. It could have been done quicker but I am very picky on making sure the wires are secured out of the way. I used double the amount of zip ties provided. Once the install was done I backed it out of the shop and tried it out. Works so much better than stock!

The rear locked in almost immediately the front took just a few seconds. I can not express how happy I am with the locker bypass. Great job Myoung!
