37" Nitto Ridge Grappler installed

Post by adeluca73 » Thu Aug 11, 2016 6:33 pm

Ok, was able to drop the truck off before the movers showed up this morning. 37" Nitto Ridge Grapplers installed, took less than an hr, had them air to -10% max (50psi Max) so about 45psi all around, measured height is right at 36.66", at 50psi they measured around 36.85", EVIC is freaking out of course, no correction available till AEV sells the ProCal or you buy a spendy programmer/tuner, speedo is off by 5mph according to the speedometer app I installed on my iPhone (PW: 35/iP: 39, PW: 40/iP: 45, PW: 45/iP: 50, PW: 50/iP: 56), tires ride great, way softer than the Duratracs (still had 12/32" left, so weren't as bad as I thought), and they are definitely quieter, did some full lock turns in the parking lot & no rubbing so far, didn't notice much braking difference, but I drive like a granny, acceleration took a hit even with 4.88's, MPGs down about .5-1mpg, 1oz,1.5oz, 2.5oz, 4oz were the balance weights, they said the stock tires had over 20ozs glued all around the inside wheel. $1179 OTD installed & balanced, no hazard warranty, After 10 miles, couldn't be happier.

Looks AWSOME. Let us know how they are holding up after a few hundred. Also wondering did you lose any articulation? And let us know after a close look it there is any rubbing issues.

The 37s look great! When you get a chance, can you snap a closer pic of the front tire? I'd like to see how much it fills up the wheel well. Can't wait to get my 37s on now! You guys are making me antsy! Image

The weights aren't listed on Nitto's site, but I found the 35's weigh around 72-73lbs, so I'd guess the 37's will run in the upper 70's then, which I'd guess is real close to the Toyo 37' RT's

Copy. It's my next phase--shocks, boogies, springs--gonna be a painful one, but gotta do it. Looking at Theuren for either the cheap Overland, their new gas shocks you mentioned, the Kings like you bought, or like the Kings Will bought. Which triggers a new track bar, maybe new long arms or clearanced radius arms, end links (front/rear), steering stab, drag link, ugh this list gets ugly.

Tire comparison OEM GY 33's v NITTO RG 37's

Post by adeluca73 » Sun Aug 14, 2016 1:14 pm

For those considering increasing tire size when your stock 33" GY Duratracs are worn out, or just want a bigger tire, here's some photos I snapped of the unmounted OEM 33" next to the mounted 37" Nitto Ridge Grapplers (@45PSI of max 50).

With all the available technology could you maybe post a picture that ISN'T sideways??? JK. It looks badass! You have a 2014 right? The diablosport will at least work to change your tire size. When it stops raining check how much of a contact patter you have on those rear tires. My 35's don't have 100% until I hit about 35 psi, my fronts are fine at 50. It is fine for now, but when winter rolls around you are going to want every little bit of rubber you can get on the ground.
