A friend opened up a local 4x4 shop and during the open house a guy showed up with his JK done entirely in white.....hurt my eyes, heart, and soul. My first thought, other than it being hideous, was how the fk do you keep that thing clean? Of course the guy had more money than sense, so maybe he just plans on throwing it away when it gets dirty or breaks down at the mall.

My original thought was dark grey with the black rockers. At this point I think I'll wait until my paint is toast and then maybe look into it again.

Never, under any circumstances that I can conceive would I bedline the whole outside of a vehicle. As mentioned- weight, fading, staining, etc come into play. Also, if you have an accident and it gets dented or worse, the bedliner has to be removed from the effected before repairs can begin. Along these line of thought- it would be very hard to touch up after post accident repairs. Rocker panels would be a maybe for me- I'd never do it given my present circumstances BUT, if the roads I frequented were a LOT harsher on my rockers, I would consider bedlining the rocker panels. I'd do it before the paint was toast though, I would want a good base under the bedliner!

Hood, rockers, bumpers.
Soon to be rims and a strip above the headlights as well.
I've seen a few trucks all lined out. Sexy as hell to be honest.

Looks alright except for the chrome

Yea, all that black and then shiny chrome mirrors, door handles, headlights, clearance lights and taillights. And while it does look good, I think I would spend that 7k on a beater trail rig and a trailer to pull it on before I would do that to the wagon so I could take it on some gnarly trails. That's on the verge on insane.

I kinda wanna say almost nothing. Don't the door chromes just peel off. If not find some dumbass who has black ones and tell him you want to swap the gaudy chrome ones for his black. And to guarantee you will find a moron would would happily swap find one who had his damn tow mirrors flipped out for no reason.
Labor is just nuts n bolts. Couple of Christmas tree body clips. Hour per side. Maybe 2

I just spent around $350 to have my drivers side mirror and assembly replaced on my 06'. Not the big towing mirror but normal size without chrome.

Mine is an '05 without the fancy schmancy electronic crap, but you might be shocked at what a mirror can cost. My wife's SUV had the driver's door mirror glass stolen a few months ago (just pops out if you know what you are doing). Replacement glass from the GM parts department was over $500. Just the glass, not the whole mirror body. Her mirror has/had heated glass and lane change indicators, and the dealer parts guy told me they get stolen all the time because they are so damned expensive. So I went online and found an aftermarket piece that had the lane change indicator but no heater for about $200. Works fine, and a heater is not worth another $300 in So Cal. Depending on your mirror, you may have different connectors in the mirror housing from one truck to another. On my wife's, I had to jumper the heater connectors to keep the computer from being confused.
