This is pretty cool. Have they mentioned anything about power loss or
Tuning required with lengthened intake? I'd imagine it may hurt power a
Bit...?....

That's a damn good question, and one I never thought to ask. I'll throw your question up on the AEV Forum and see what they say.

Man, that still looks great. I assume those have to be 37s not 35s right? The decision between those two sizes on my '12 is killing me. 37s look so at home and yet the towing hit plus finding a place for a 37" spare are scaring me.

Those are indeed 37's. After seeing the AEV Ram with 37's and 40's side by side, the 37's are a great look. The 37's give me bad intentions while trying to be practical at the same time.

might not be that severe with a fuel injected vehicle but I know a carb vehicle it Deffinately affects. the lengthened intake tube might actually make a bit more torque ....maybe...

Found this on FB today. Looks like AEV now has fitted their products onto a Power Wagon. EDIT: Confirmed by AEV: not a PowerWagon. A Power Wagon has been fitted though.

I knew they had a new Power Wagon in the fleet, but I haven't seen this before. It looks pretty good. Too bad there isn't anything for us older suspension folks. Maybe in the future.

Does anybody else think the bumper would benefit from a full bar instead of the pre-runner bar? I like the AEV bumper but with the lights behind my grill, I'm 50/50 on this bumper.

Well that pretty much settles it, I'm getting that bumper and Line Xing it for mine at some point in the future, regardless of the price. That is just down right porn in my eyes. Maybe they'll make a couple different versions but I like that one just fine. Hopefully they make a matching rear.

I've thought about that too, but it seems like without the bar the winch is just kind of sticking out there and not covered.

I don't think I'll be spending any money on a bumper anytime soon, so I'll enjoy seeing what else AEV releases for the front bumper. They have been talking about different bar options since the first AEV Concept Ram came out.

I would absolutely want the full bar across the front. That was a HUGE reason for me going with the Aluminess bumper. When you plow into a large animal on the road, that sucker is going right through the grill and everything else. I want all the protection I can get.

BTW, that truck does looks awesome though!

My Aluminess bumper has 3 deer hits on it so far. Deer in my area are over 200 lbs. The full bar has paid for it's self. Wouldn't buy another bumper without the full bar. ;)

I've thought about Aluminess, but the one thing I've wondered is could it be sprayed with Line-X? Winter road de-icer crap is so brutal that any kind of bumper I get down the road would have to be coated with Line-X.

It can be done with whatever your heart desires. You could have it sprayed with Line-X from Aluminess if you want. FYI, the Aluminess is, well, aluminum. Therefore, it will not rust. ;)

I think the Line-X would look better simply because my rockers and rear bumper are already coated. Kind of keeps everything flowing.

Aluminum does not rust. But it does corrode. http://www.theruststore.com/Does-Alumin ... W26C2.aspx
In worst case scenarios, it gets a white powdery substance on it & the material itself gets pitted.

So, IMHO, it's kinda like 6 of one/half dozen of the other.

I have looked at vehicles that were flood vehicles & must have sat in salt water for a while because EVERYTHING that was aluminum under the hood was corroded badly.

As long as aluminum or steel is coated & protected---all is good.

I had Aluminess ship me the bumper just primered. Then I had it Line-X. Had it done in the same body color as the PW. The color is starting to fade some in a few areas. Think the sprayer missed the areas when he sprayed the UV protection. :( But overall. It's holding up well. :D

Here is the actual AEV Power Wagon- sounds like it's going to be at a NADA show in San Francisco.

Dave made the following comment about the white Ram posted a little earlier in this thread:
"That is one of our development trucks. Not a Powerwagon, 6.4L, 37s, stock fog lamps.

The PW Hood graphic is kind of silly, blacking out the hood is designed to reduce glare, but the entire hood needs to be blacked out to be effective. For Chrysler to place a decal over all the curved surfaces of the hood vs just slapping on a decal in the center flat section is way too hard and time consuming...the purpose got lost in translation...So it becomes a joke to anyone who knows the point of the hood graphic since its now ineffective."
