Time to have a training session with your wife so she doesn't turn off the nannies by mistake.

LMAO

In her defense, she was just trying to close the garage door.... but if she starts flicking random switches then its her own fault

Yeah, the wireless RF switch has the cool factor, but there's nothing like a dedicated toggle/rocker switch to avoid confusion.

One of these would minimize accidental engagement.

I won't be making anymore of these until there are some test results from the two that are out in the wild to make sure they are safe. I tried to find an inline Jcase fuse holder so I could reuse the factory fuse, but the only quality one that I could find was made by Littlefuse Co. and it comes with 8 Ga. wire which is way too big to interface with the Jcase housing. They have to make it that big in case it's being used for a 60 amp circuit.

The Jcase fuse that gets pulled is a slow blow fuse and the new inline ATC fuse is a fast blow fuse. They are the same 40 amp rating but have different characteristics. There needs to be some slippery surface/dirt road testing, making several ABS activating panic stops to confirm that the ATC fuse is up to the task and can tolerate the surge of starting and running the ABS pump motor. I'm 99% sure it will be fine based on the fact that they always over calculate amperage load with a margin. It probably surges to 20-25 amps at startup and then runs at less than 20.

We'll see.

The code has been cracked, however the connectors for the T-harness are currently made of unobtainium, unless you want to spend $200 for the factory gold plated terminals.

Female connector and terminals #68137859AA
Male connector and terminals #68137858AA

The last locker bypasses that CajunPW made were $300, this would jump the price up to $500. :jawdrop:

There's a 60 day lead time for the reasonably priced tin plated version but they only sell them in large bulk quantities and they're currently unavailable. This is the last piece of the puzzle that I haven't been able to figure out.

I just want to build a clone and see if it works. :ugeek:

It's worth mentioning that the locker bypass has a similar benefit as the BD 2Lo kit in that since the harness interrupts the actual lockers with relays the locker lights will not flash inop like is common. The BD 2Lo kit will stop your truck from saying it is shifting into 4WD when it isn't.

I am gonna try to get the ABS to kick in hopefully by this weekend sometime. Im thinking it may be fairly difficult without snow.

Alright boys and girls, I had 4 nice high speed panic stops in the sand with with the abs kicking in as designed. No issues with the suplied fuse blowing, David. The best part was, the fifth panic stop I did with the magic switch flicked in the up position, which resulted in two large trenches dug by the front two tires. Not only did the abs not kick in, but the truck stopped much sooner. You dont say

Will this kit work on our trucks...because our TCPS is different ? Mine is a 3rd gen as well, with a manual shift ? 2Lo sure would be nice for maneuvering the camper on blacktop. Thanks for the reply.

According to this site, it only works on the 4.5 gen 3/4 ton trucks.

I would have to think without the cad this would not work.

I already had the switch bank mounted and the clutch block off plate drilled so this only took an hour to install. Most of the time was spent monkeying with the switch light configurations.
