If it's about Power Wagons, all generations, this is where it'll go. This is the original PWR Forum Power Wagon Technical Discussion Section. And this includes everything that doesn’t fit in any one of the other categories related to the truck goes here!

coder wrote:The PW was last because they say "the Power Wagon's chances of placing better among lighter, more fuel-efficient and quicker, yet mostly less off-road-capable, trucks." really, this tells me that this is a bunch of street truck boys trying to play 4x4 judge.

There're criteria is not what I use when looking for an off road vehicle, in fact much of what they judged by is last on my list. My list starts with things at actually make a difference on the trail like traction (ie. lockers), articulation, shocks, tires, low end torque, overall vehicle durability, self recovery options (winch), etc..

In more serious 4x4 publications the PW is always on or near the top of the list!

Yeah, I saw the line you bolded.....I read some of this in another forum before the test came out, also looked at some of the people who work for the Magazine, I always try to check who is writing an article. I did notice the editor is very left leaning when I went to her Facebook page. Not trying to be Political, but as soon as they mention gas mileage concerns in that manner, my Liberal/Progressive Radar goes off!! Sorry, if I offended anyone, but just something Ive learned in the last decade or so especially... you really do have to consider the source on any kind of so called journalism these days!!

Yeah the Raptor is bad ass in some respects and the other trucks have their place as well, has anyone priced out the Nissan or a Chevy.... Those of us with the PW know what a bargain it is for its off road capabilities.
2016 Tradesman White, adding mods now, 37 Ridge Grapplers on Method Standards 17 x 8.5 x 5.75 BS, Thuren Overland front 1.5" Kit. SLT Grill, Mopar Steps. More Thuren stuff soon....
