Well, I relocated the winch from the factory location to the bumper, which required re-clocking the winch and rotating it so it spools from the bottom instead of the top. With that done, the free-spool lever can be accessed from the front opening on the passenger side, and there's also an access plate on the top that locks down. With the factory winch bracket and rollers, and several other pieces removed, the heavy duty front bumper only added about 25lbs to the front of my truck. The approach angle was actually improved as the bottom of the bumper is actually level with the bottom of the frame rail. Not every aftermarket ranch bumper will give you the same, but I'm more than pleased with the outcome.

Are you still running on stock suspension? I like the looks of that bumper but I'm worried about the added weight to these light coils.

I'm talking to them about parking sensors and some other changes to the bumper. I definitely like the fact it's a light weight bumper.

I have the full Carli King 2.5 suspension package with rear leaves. That gives me about a 1" suspension lift, so with my 37's she's sittin' pretty nice.

I'll add this to things I wish I hadn't seen. Juday's guard leans a pinch more than I want, but I didn't realize they could make it more horizontal. Damn this site can be expensive sometimes.

I greatly appreciate everyone's feedback on this thread and after talking to all the different manufacturers I went with Fab Fours. Their bumper will protect my truck the best and I can have them installed this Friday rather than waiting 8 weeks for them. I'll post pictures when done, I'm sure this is going to make me want the 35" tires even more.

I've never re-clocked a winch before but it seems pretty straight forward, did you have any issues?

None. Like you said, it's pretty straight forward. I would, however, get a new gasket kit from Warn. Don't reuse the original gaskets. I did and one failed leading to water ingress into the motor. My dealer replaced it under warranty, but save yourself the headache. It's a small price to pay for reliability. Tried hoisting a deer into a tree to gut it and the winch was kaput!

I'm very pleased with how the bumpers look, it also didn't lower my truck at all. I wish my park sensors were black but it will grow on me & they tried putting LED Foglights in but they wouldn't work.

They would come on for a couple seconds then shut off, they had built in resistors but still no go. They even tried a different brand and they did the same thing.

It's weird, i like it from the side, must be the pics, looks way low from front but side looks like plenty of clearance, also, how do you engage/disengage the winch? Was it reclocked?

It has 2" more ground clearance than the stock bumper and sticks out 8" from grill, I'm sure I've lost approach but I don't rockcrawl. Yes re-clocked the winch and mounted the controller terminal on top of bumper. Lol, I guess it depends on what state you live in to determine what look you like.

I like the bumpers!

I don't think any resistor will work. Here is what I used: http://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/7463 ... 7035992685
I bought the same resistor from Amazon but it took two weeks to ship from Hong Kong instead of one week from China. Go figure.

I made my own harness and soldered the resistor in line on the negative side. Here is how it looks with canbus plugs. The plugs were sourced from ebay. The most important part is the resistor configuration.

What LED fogs do you have? Are you planning on running both sets from the fog circuit or hard wiring one side? The reason I ask is because you are good for about 5 amps on the circuit. However, extra resistors reduce available power to the lights. If you have lights with built in resistors, the pair could potentially draw too many amps (probably not but you should know for certain). The cubes I installed are 2 amps total but do not have built in resistors. The .47Ohm resistors reduce very little power and do not get hot.

I don't know what brand they tried but since they didn't work I didn't buy them. They hooked them up using the factory harnes so they would work of the factory switch. Is there brand you would recommend that would allow me to using the factory switch?

Here's a link to my thread on the same question from a couple years back....

http://forum.powerwagonregistry.org/vie ... f=2&t=2214

I ended up sourcing two new factory style plugs and "Y"ing the pigtails from lights into that to plug directly into the factory connector just behind bumper. So they work off the factory fog button and the only wiring I had to run was from one side of bumper to the other. since LEDs use way less power the computer may sense a bulb out or something is wrong and this is why they often will not work right. But mine have not given me any issues at all... except people flashing their brights at me, and they interfere with my CB for some reason. I went from the factory 55W to two(2) LED 16W so a total of 34W on each side which seems to be close enough to not cause any warning lights or anything.
