Re: 2015 Power Wagon 37" boots
I dont see any loss of wheel travel. Had a front stuffed all the way into the wheel well. Havent noticed any power/torque loss. Still spins the rear every time im slightly quick on the go go peddle lol

Pro's: Better traction due to larger tire footprint, especially when aired down. Better ability to roll (climb) over off road obstacles. Better ground clearance.
Con's: Decreased fuel mileage. Accelerated wear on steering components, ball joints, etc. Very large tires can have worse handling on the highway - depending on tires chosen, tread pattern, tire width, etc.

I beg to differ on the decreased fuel mpg. Mine gets better than it did with stock tires, it gives it a better highway friendly gear ratio.

I only do what the majority of the 4 voices in my head tell me to. In most cases, I ignore two of them because one doesn't speak English, and I suspect the other is talking to someone else.

Yeah, that greatly has to do with your choice of tire (tread pattern). But many people jump to a mud terrain of some sort when going to bigger tires, which will more than likely make MPG's suffer. Will wrote:I beg to differ on the decreased fuel mpg. But yes, with those tires you have I bet they roll very nicely down the road with minimal resistance (unlike an MT), and with the overall higher gear ratio with the larger diameter they probably put the RPM range much closer to that of a stock/Non-PW truck, essentially improving MPG as well.

My fuel mileage stayed the same, and I've felt no power loss.
I upgraded to a Thuren/Fox steering stabilizer and I couldn't ask for a better setup. Handles perfectly.

that would look so nice on yours!Stickman wrote:That looks so damn sexy. I was looking for one of those newer wagon grilles like that with the red slats to do the same thing for mine. Never found one for less than $700 though so that went out the window real quick. Mines Line X'd and then I had a buddy paint some express badges red for me to accent it, looks pretty good but it's too much black for me, needs a little more red, like that.

With 37" bfg's really only a 36" I think and my 6" lift my truck will do around 12-14l per 100km on the highway. I put those 37" Toyos on (10 plys) lmao and ya mileage goes down a lot! 6" lift doesn't help.
