That was my first thought too! But, I asked and he said they are DOT approved and they are the new design! I like them too!!!

Got the Nittos yesterday, I'll post pics later this weekend. Night and day difference between the MTRKS and the Nittos!!!! So far the Nittos are so much smoother, quieter, and shake free!!!! My wife actually borrowed my truck this morning, something she was unwilling to do with the MTRKs on it!!!

In all fairness, the Nittos aren't completely perfect- the only things I can say against the Nittos- they feel a bit squirmier than the MTRKs, they feel a bit more vague of on center steering feel, and they seem to follow road irregularities a bit more. But, they are SHAKE FREE!!!! They are WAY smoother and quieter too!!!!

Worst balancing one of the bunch took like 7 total ounces vs several of the MTRKs were calling for 10oz a side!!! Road force variation on the Nittos was within spec for passenger car tires, that's awesome for 37" mud tires!!!!
