Issue after latest recall

Post by mcdozendriver » Tue Jul 11, 2017 8:42 am

Brought my truck into the dealer on Saturday for oil change and to take care of the latest recall about the passenger restrain computer issue. I get the truck back and the ESC warning light is on. Restart, turn ESC off and on, lights still there. Take it back in and 10 mins later, dealer says it's not throwing any codes. Get in, lights still on. So I have to take it back in. Has anyone had this happen with a recall computer flash messing with the ESC? And found out cruise control won't work with the ESC warning light on, makes my 40mile commute just a little more horrible.

Part of this recall is to initialize the abs module after flashing the orc. 9 trucks out of 10 can be done without it. But it literally takes another 30 seconds to do. The tech is either lazy or didn't read the recall document properly.

Thanks. I will bring it up to them when I take it back in.
