I went to the dealer in June of '16 to order a new PW, but they said I couldnt order a '16 anymore. They were not exactly sure what was available for '17 (if there was going to be a laramie or not), so we found a '16 on the lot in another state that was very close to what I wanted to build anyway.
I dont think '18's are going to be on the lot for a while yet, but you may not be able to order a '17 anymore.

Ordering for 2500s stops the first week of June. Production change over is in July. New model year starts delivering late August.

Not sure of any changes for the Power Wagon other than the addition of the newest 8.4 version with apple/android car play.FordyceCreekTrail wrote:When does Ram typically begin taking orders for the next model year? Any thoughts on changes for 18?

Oooo i see is states the bed lighting will now have an on/off switch in the bed. My gosh, it took them that long to figure out that would be handy as hell

Three years behind Ford for that option.olyelr wrote:Ramajama wrote:Not sure of any changes for the Power Wagon other than the addition of the newest 8.4 version with apple/android car play.FordyceCreekTrail wrote:When does Ram typically begin taking orders for the next model year? I ran my own lights because the bed lights are pretty worthless controlled from the cab.

Re: 2018 Release
The 1500 is slated for refresh in 2019, and if Fiat Chrysler follows suit with what they've traditionally done, we won't see 2500/3500 trucks until the 2020 model year. The PW might actually be a year AFTER that (maybe) so the "new" PW could be a 2021. My guess however is that the TRX concept may actually be a production truck somewhere in the lineup. Let's hope they offer a traditional PW 2500 too for those of us that don't want to play Guido-driving Ford Raptor mall-crawler nemesis.
