Auto Shipping

Post by drdfblackm » Wed Mar 01, 2017 4:43 pm

Ok...I was about to be ripped off by a company....agreed on $800....they said the driver isn't available but they can get one for $1000 now. Freaking rip off. I hate this industry!!!!

Can anyone actually recommend an auto shipper that is legit...that you can trust and does good business? I am so gun shy now I don't trust anything that google comes up with. I went on USAA and they don't have anyone they work with. Just need a car to go from Indiana to Arizona.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I would love to find someone that could do it for $800 that I could trust. But at this point I am looking at flying and driving back. Just have a lot on my plate. Latest snow storm took out a tree in my yard that in turn knocked down my power and cable lines. And my roof is leaking after this latest storm. And the driver wheel bearing went out on the power wagon yesterday. So I have have to worry about all of that as well as trying to get this car. Why...because I only have 500 miles left for my TDI buyback and my appointment is not until March 21. And I commute 100 miles a day and well the powerwagon won't do so hot on that commute.

At least I have my health right....not everyone does so I am thankful for that.

Yes, always think positive. Great health is worth your weight in gold.

It would be about $800 there about. It's just finding the time and ability with all the crap going on is the problem. I was trying to get everything done this week but this storm threw a wrench into everything.

I am second in charge at work and my boss will be gone next week so I need to be around...which is why I was going to fly yesterday and why I have tried to have it shipped.

I am 100% thankful for my health.....I was not meaning to be a jerk about that or at all sarcastic.

I've recently had a good experience using uship.com several companies put in bids and you choose which one suits you best. There is a review section for every company that's registered with them so you can make an informed decision. Maybe worth a look
Central Texas and Houston area
2009 5.7 auto quadcab
Carli 3” coils deaver leafs 3” kings with 4 tube bypass rear and fr/rr hydro bumps
Howe steering pump and gear with hydraulic ram assist
Custom tube bumpers and white knuckle sliders
Creative fab trussed axle. rem polished and cryoed 5.13 gears with arb lockers fr/rr
Sharadon stage 2 545rfe with 3000 stall edge converter
Lots of other stuff lol

I've used Uship many times for motorcycles, but I put an auction up and it turns out that most of the bidders were not shippers but brokers again.

FWIW I flew down to Apache Junction AZ and drove my truck back to Minneapolis, MN. Fuel was around $300 and the flight was $200. I spent ~$60 on Food/drink and drove straight through (took some rest stop naps). Even if you made a pit stop at a motel you would still be well under $800. Obviously, the set back is the time invested. Hope it works out for you :)

I just had my wife's car shipped from Las Vegas to Denver for $495 on open trailer. The company was JP Auto Transport. The Salesperson was Gerald Nicolas. His # 954-510-9251. Everything worked great. They are based out of Florida. I had to give them a credit card for $95 upfront and paid the drive the remaining $400 balance in Cash. Give them a call. Hope you have as good of service I did. It was my 1st time shipping a car and they were very helpful answering all my questions.
