They didn't even do anything difficult that would show off the strengths of the PW. You know an "off-road" competition is pretty bad when it includes drag races and driving down dirt roads. I do off-roading in my PW that a Raptor nor Toycar wouldn't have a chance in hell getting out of.

It's a good thing they didn't go more hard core the Raptor and the Tacoma were already bottoming out even on those trails...

Pretty weak comparison but the PW certainly handled the "hard" stuff best.

Ugh, I have enjoyed Fast Lane Truck, but their tests outside of towing tend to be; stupidly conducted.

I don't get the Raptor love. Sure it's nice that the locker works in 2WD, but the whole truck is still setup as a desert runner, not a crawling rig. Just look at all the promotional material. Like they designed the truck just for SoCal and Nevada.

Also, towing is 8000lbs or 5000lbs if you don't have a weight distributing hitch. Payload isn't mentioned, but I'm sure it's a big hit too.

For the sake of comparison here are the 2017 PW/Raptor payload and towing specs in lbs., for a 20% heavier vehicle, the PW, you get an average of 24% more carrying/towing capacity seems like a good trade-off to me.

2017 Power Wagon Crew Cab
Max. GVWR: 8,510 - (20.7% higher than raptor)
Max. GCWR: 17,500 - (22.8% higher than raptor)
Max. Payload: 1,510 - (25.8% higher than raptor)
Max. Towing: 10,030 - (25.3% higher than raptor)

2017 Raptor SuperCrew
Max. GVWR: 7,050
Max. GCWR: 14,250
Max. Payload: 1,200
Max. Towing: 8,000

PFFFT...Rapturds...

LOL I think TFLT pulled a sneaky trick on us in this video regarding the Rapturd. In some of the high speed runs, I think they played the sound from the camera thats INSIDE the cab of the Rapturd. It sounded a WHOLE lot like the ridiculous "enhanced" engine sound they pipe through the stereo.  Ive heard it first hand and that was it.

In EVERY other video the EcoBust powered Rapturds sound like a sewing machine, Honda Accord or a pissed of bumblebee.

What I like:

"The Power Wagon was actually conceived way back in the mid-40s as a Hitler-stomping weapons hauler"

lol

What I dislike:

Any mention, ever, of zombies or the undead. I want to stick that guys leg under one of those 33" Duratracs.

It is funny how this comparison keeps coming up. Back in 2010 or 11 and again in 2012 4Wheeler magazine did 2 comparisons between the Raptor and the Power Wagon. Both times the Power Wagon won hands down. Even in its stock form the PW held its own against the Raptor in the dunes. Then the Raptor was just blown out of the water when hitting the jeep trails. There is no comparison. Now the Ford has way more power, a 10 speed transmission and a ton of electrical goodies. Do any of us think that the outcome will be any different? The video showed the Raptor bottoming out on terrain that the PW didn't even break a sweat. Why did they throw the TRD Pro in the mix? It wasn't any better than the Ford. Maybe one day Ford will actually get serious. By then the Wagon will have a BW case that has a 3.5 gear set in it and a 5 to 1 first gear in an 8 speed transmission. The outcome will most likely be the same.

I've always liked the Raptor for what it is- a go fast desert runner. They also ride really nice when used as a daily driver. I compared one side by side to a Power Wagon before I bought my 2012. The Raptor does a lot of things well, but it wasn't a HD truck, which is what I wanted when I replaced my 2004 HD Hemi. If I won the lotto I'd have a Raptor in my fleet for something different to drive, but I'd never trade my Power Wagon for one.
