Post by 008wagon » Wed Nov 02, 2016 9:18 pm

Looking at new tires for the power wagon. Currently running Toyo at 2 in 285 /75/17 with 25 k on them they are almost shot . I'm looking at toyo mt , cooper stt pro and the new maxxis buckshot mudder 2 . I've had toyo mt before and. Was pleased just don't like the cost . The maxxis looks really nice just never ran them before . Looking for opinions on. What everyone likes thanks

Shot at 25,000 miles? I'm hoping for at least 40,000 out of my Toyo A/T II's!

I had the Cooper STT's. Liked them. Got about 30,000 out of them. On my 2nd set of Toyo MT's Got about the same mileage.

I went to Americas Tire and they honored an online quote I got when I got my 285/75/17 Toyo M/Ts. I think I paid $280 each.

Currently have the Cooper STT and am very impressed with them. Work great in mud and surprising how well they work in the snow (don't even bother putting snow tires on any more). Almost bought a set of Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ P3 on-line (sale/rebates ended Monday) but think I will keep the Coopers at least 1 more year. Lots of guys locally run Goodyear Duratracs and really like them.
Trucks: 2003 4x4 Dodge 3/4 ton, 1972 4x4 Ford 3/4 ton (factory hi-boy), shopping for new Power Wagon (maybe 2024?)

I have the Cooper stt pros in 315 70 17. Great tire. They are aggressive. Probably not the best if lots of highway driving, but they work for me. Tread wear seems to be good. Not much wear in 1 year.
