Oem 2013 front shock

Post by jsemm » Sun Oct 16, 2016 10:11 am

Looking for the part number for front oem shocks. Will I need a spring compressor to change shocks only. Only 30k miles and one shock is leaking already

The OEM Bilsteins should have a sticker on the lower section with the part # on it. The ones on my 07 were still there when I went to order new ones a couple of weeks ago.

No spring compressor needed. Unbolt both the top and bottom of the shock. Next unbolt the top shock mount. Should be 3 nuts that you need to remove. Remove that, and the shock comes out of the top. On the right side. You might need to remove the air box.

There should be a # right above the UPC bar code. That is the part number. It's a dealer only part. Some places like mopar direct, ect should have it though.

You won't find much in a Google search though.

Just for info the dealer can't look up the shock for the 2013. They showed me and there is no part number and nothing showing. It says to call Chrysler. Very weird I wonder what's going on with that.

IDK what to tell you. I took the #'s to the parts guy at the dealer and he found them right away for my 07. Took about a week to get them.
