Boogie Rated Bump stops

Post by TheDirtRoad » Sat Jun 04, 2016 11:27 am

I've been looking at getting some Boogie Rated bump stops for my 2014 (especially for the front). Does anyone know if they will work with the stock 2014? CJC's website shows up to a 2012. Do they affect the amount of articulation? I know a few of you guys are running these and recommend them.

Yes they will fit, no they don't mess with articulation, they are worth it, get them.

I only do what the majority of the 4 voices in my head tell me to. In most cases, I ignore two of them because one doesn't speak English, and I suspect the other is talking to someone else.

They are a great product. I would buy direct from don Thuren @thuren fabrication personally as he now owns boogie rated and his prices are usually a bit cheaper if he knows your on the website/ forum. Plus he can answer your questions on them. Him and Aaron both know alittle about these trucks lol just alittle tho.

Other than being a pain in the ass to install, they are well worth it!

Buy from don now considering he owns the brand name

They are a bit of a pain to install but don did say he had a different style mount he would get around to designing I believe! (Fingers crossed)

I did have to squeeze the brackets with a pair of knipex to get the bolts in but it wasn't bad.

What's the purpose of the drop blocks? Something to do with the arms you have and clearance?

6" lift longer body shocks so you need to drop the bumps to work properly

That sounds like defeating the purpose of longer travel if you're stopping short. I was thinking on factory coils, I had 2" to the Boogies, now I have 4-1/4", that's double the up travel and I can really tell the difference. Why would you want to decrease it? Not saying anything wrong about it, I'm just wondering.

He already told ya :poke:

Hes gotta make sure hes not using his shocks as bumpstops.... That would defeat the purpose of even having the boogies

With his extra lift, he probably still has the same amount of uptravel as you, maybe.

Lol you have 16" body shocks I have 18" body shocks make sense now will?! I have 12" travel you have 10" but my tower is in the same spot! So I have a longer shock body I need to drop the bumps away from the frame to match the shock body= longer shock body tho equals more travel still

I actually responded later but I guess it didn't go through about the shock body length so they dont bottom out. You need taller towers then or what's the point! Haha

lol well with the same tower and the extra lift you get 2" extra travel from the longer shocks so it's worth it! Lol
