Looking at the way the market is and with all the emmisions and garbage trucks are getting stuck with... I'd keep it. That way it will still be a new truck in 5 years. And who knows. It may be a lot harder to get one in 2020 than now. I wish you luck. Moving sucks.

Here's your answer. 9 times out of 10, when someone sells something, they need or want the money for something else.
By 2020-2022, ALL vehicles will have automatic braking and who knows what other government mandated nannies that will make it even more difficult for the PW to be produced to perform like the one you have. Look at the differences between the 2010 and 2015 and it's only getting worse. KEEP IT :)

I only do what the majority of the 4 voices in my head tell me to. In most cases, I ignore two of them because one doesn't speak English, and I suspect the other is talking to someone else.

If you have a good place to store it you can withdraw it from use. You don't need current registration or inspection. You can also have your insurance agent pull all of the coverage except comprehensive. This would cover you if it gets damaged, burned up, stolen, etc. while in storage. It should also satisfy your bank as far as required coverage for your loan.

You wouldn't be able to drive it but you can probably cover the cost of the storage that way. Put that bad boy up on a set of beefy jack stands and sleep well knowing that it will be waiting for you when it is time to hang it up and become a full time outdoorsman.

My 2 cents..I'd keep it ..find a garage for it..do your mods test it ..4 years go by fast...who knows about a new 2020 and what parts are out there for it...once retired start enjoying the p.w. and not worry about mods

Again ...all great responses, I really appreciate everyone taking the time to offer their suggestions, it means a lot. Looks like the collective WinchMob has spoken, I must obey, it's a rule I read somewhere :winchmob:

I really don't want to start over doing this stuff, I can do it, I just don't enjoy doing it as much anymore, additionally, looking at the recent PW production #'s, it would be easy enough to stop offering the PW version of the 2500 w/o hurting Fiat's bottom line much.

^Very true.
Also, from experience, it's nice driving a PW on the DC Beltway. You are up high, to see what's ahead, and people can see you, which lessens the chances of them cutting in front of you.

I'll have to find a pic but, I saw a Power Wagon that was either government or a contractor (I believe a business truck but, either way it had Haz-Mat hauling placards on it (like the ones Semis use)) parked in the official use only parking area that's pretty well smack between the White House and the Washington Monument. So, at least one person drives a Power Wagon around DC, LOL!

EPA maybe? Their HQ is smack in the center of DC near the mall & the Capitol.

I don't see a problems keeping it if you have to deal with finding and/or parallel parking in city. On plus side you can always take it to Assateague Island beach https://www.nps.gov/asis/planyourvisit/osv.htm to research cure for wheelhop. No much can be done their IMHO. It's not bushings or springs rather inherent feature of heavily front biased 4wd with live axle.

On minus side. Sorry but OH or DC compared to west is all crap no-adventure land. Might as well keep it. There few places to explore in Appalachians.

Assateague Island is nice. Lots of wild horses, and horse flies. LOL The permit to run on the beach is $$. Wife and I spend time there. We camp at Castsaways Campground. There is a new campground just north of Ocean City. It's called Massey's Landing. We will be checking it out later this summer.

I think you should store the truck and enjoy it when you can. I did the same thing with a Jeep for several years, only running it a few times per year for several years. There were zero issues with seals or gaskets leaking or anything. When I did get it out, it was to wheel it so I'm pretty sure I ran it hard when it got out for exercise. Plus, as others have said you have a nice build just the way you want it, so hang in there. Your assignment will go by in a flash!

All true ---I'll just rent a house with a big enough garage so I don't have to rent a separate storage locker to keep it in, which will motivate me to make an effort to get out & use it.
