Is this the right steering box?

Post by GunniPWguy » Tue Jul 31, 2012 5:20 pm

This has probably been discussed before but I could not find it under any past threads. Found at Mopar Wholesale. Part # 68170214AA
http://www.mopar-wholesale.com/ Looks like it will come with a new pitman arm, and drag link/TRE
Also if anyone knows what else I will need to get a clean install I would appreciate it. Can I use the same steering shaft or do I need to replace that too? Thanks in advance.

Yes sir it is the right box out mine on a few weeks ago. You won't need anything extra I have heard of upgrading the the steering shaft but I didn't it will fit just fine. You will want to get a alignment afterwards though

Thanks. I am going to look at getting one soon. Mine is leaking and starting to feel loose.

I've got a chance to get a used box out of a 2011 2500, it has the pitman and TRE on it. Does anyone know if it will it drop in or will I need a different pitman and/or TRE?

Thanks
