lockers and sway bar lights blinking
lockers and sway bar lights blinking
I was driving down the highway at 65 mph and noticed all of the locker lights and swaybar lights were blinking very fast and then all of a sudden all of the lights went off. It did the same exact thing again within a few seconds. It kind of seemed like the system was resetting itself or something. It was snowing out at the time so I don't know if water got into something or what. I pulled over to test everything and amazingly the lockers now engage immediately both front and rear and the swaybar works fine. Tested everything again when I got home and the lockers still engage immediately both front and rear. Does anyone know what happened or has anyone else had this happen to them. The truck is a 2013.

There is a electrical plug on the smartbar. What you need to do is remove the plug. Smear some dielectical grease on the contacts and the gasket on the plug and the smartbar. Do the same thing on your locker plugs on the axles too.

Yep like others have said this is a fairly common problem on these trucks. I have had that same issue in the past when I drove through a flooded portion of one of our local trails.RustyPW wrote:There is a electrical plug on the smartbar. Re: lockers and sway bar lights blinking
thanks for the info, do I need to disconnect the battery before I unplug the smart bar or the lockers?
