This part # 52107847 AK, is coming up as a shift cable for 1500's, 2500's & 3500's. Hard to believe no one has them.

The AK version might work on 1500, 2500 and 3500 but the one off of a 1500, the AD part number, won't work on a 2500. I know cause I got one at the scrap yard and it doesn't fit. And yes, everywhere I check they are back ordered. Even the websites that say they can be ordered will tell you they have to come from the Chrysler warehouse, which doesn't have any. Guess I'm gonna have to extend my scrapyard search beyond my immediate area.

The "AH" looks like it is for a 48RE, but if you expand the list it says it will fit the PW. They are in stock, might be worth a try...http://www.factorymoparparts.net/dodge/ ... trol-cable

Doesn't look like the "AK" is in stock http://www.factorymoparparts.net/dodge/ ... trol-cable

I don't see where you came up with an "AF" part number but maybe this can help you.

I only do what the majority of the 4 voices in my head tell me to. In most cases, I ignore two of them because one doesn't speak English, and I suspect the other is talking to someone else.

Found one at the junkyard about an hour from me. Guy specializes in dodge trucks. He told me new cables are on nationwide back order and that he gets half dozen calls a week for these from all over. Said he still has a few.

Forgive me if this is a stupid question but, how did you manage to break the shift cable? Was it corroded and snapped?
