Sway bar parts numbers

Hey everyone. Has anyone replaced all the bushings related to the sway bar, or even upgraded them to higher quality? I think it's time to replace all of mine but as usual for me, finding an auto parts store that has actual Powerwagon parts is impossible. They all wanna pull the "the 2500 part will work on the Powerwagon" crap, but lots of times that is not the case. I'm looking for the end link bushings and the sway bar bushings. Any knowledge or experience? I've already searched all the forums for similar but no luck on part replacements. Thank you.

The swaybar bushing have a different part number for the PW Mopar PN# 52113085AB they are about $20 each full retail. I replaced mine twice because they started squeaking they last time I did it I put some dielectric grease on the inside and outside and no more squeak. Do not cut them to make putting them on easier you will greatly shorten their lifespan use soapy water instead to help slide them on.

I think I found part number for end links, V5175052AB. I found them on this website: http://www.moparpartsoverstock.com/p/__ ... 052AB.html in the details it says 'front swaybar with disconnect' Problem is, I am going on a trip this weekend and need them ASAP. I've never ordered from this site before, anyone have any experience with this site? Fast shipping? Or does anyone know of any stores that sells the power wagon end links?

I've checked with NAPA, Autozone, Oreillys, and none of those have our end links or sway bar bushings. Their computers show lots of parts, but they all say "except disconnecting sway bar". As for the website, it looks legit, and I'm a computer guy. It is operated by a Chrysler dealership. I may be buying these as well from them.

I also found this on O'reilly website. Looks similar to our end links and it says "with electronic disconnect bar" I called my local o'reillys and the guy said its a special order part, he has to call the corporate office to get actual pricing, and i will have to pay for the shipping?! WTF is up with that? Also I'm not sure how good 'Rare Parts' is.

Interesting. How did you find it on Oreillys site? We can't even select "Powerwagon" in their vehicle selection drop downs.

So, get this yall. I went to the website Jersey found above and ordered the link kit and bushings. All was good to go, I paid, but wasn't seeing any progress on the order status so I emailed them just to ask if everything was ok. Yesterday afternoon, I receive an email from some guy there and he says I need to buy this part (5139522AA) for $231 EACH side. I tried looking up that part across at least 10 different Mopar parts websites and not a single one has an image, diagram, or picture to help me decide if he is correct or not. I even used Google Images and nothing. I WILL NOT spend $230 for one tiny little link, and if that was true, I'll go ahead and upgrade to the Dodge Offroad versions if I remember correctly on the manufacturer. I sent him an email back with the diagram from the part number I ordered (V5175052AB), and said I need part number 1 and 5 (links and bushings), and asked for specific detailed physical comparison between the part I ordered and the one he suggested. I hope to receive an email back today. My guess is, since this, and many other Mopar parts sites, are ran through a dealerships service and part department, this guy is just trying to make me spend more money when its not required. Just thought I'd let yall know.

The end links on the pw swaybar is completely different than every other ram. They have upper and lower ball joints and are not adjustable. The best bet would be buying the through a dealer as I don't know if they are available at all aftermarket. Your best bet might be to talk to don thuren and ask him what he can you set up with for end links

Hey NTS, that is true about our sway bar links, and many places don't understand that. However, using the link above, it takes you directly to our sway bar component listing and from our perspective, it is very clear that the part I ordered, SHOULD be correct, I mean, there just isn't anything on that page to say otherwise. It clearly states "with disconnecting sway" plus the image shows our bars and components to the tee. I will wait and see what this guy says back to me, but if he still insists I have to choose his $230 link, I will do one of four things. 1) Buy these: http://www.dtprofab.com/DTP02043-PowerW ... p_313.html. 2) Talk to Don 3) Try to find PW at salvage yard 4) Go ahead and buy what I ordered and see what arrives in the mail.

Sorry if I led you astray Dodgeman, I never ordered anything from that site yet but it seemed legit. I did find some on a Mopar parts finder for a dealership near my house. Says they are $73.60 per link kit. I am going to call them today and see if this is for real. If they are, I can order some extras for you?

Oh no, you didn't lead me astray. I think the site you provided is legit, I just think the person who replied to my order is inexperienced. My mind would be blown if one single link is $230, ya know. I understand it has the little ball joints in it, but still, $230, I don't buy it. Please do keep us informed on your endeavor too though. If we indeed have the right part number, and you physically see the part before I do, just let us know and I will tell these guys to send me what I ordered, no matter what.

It seems excessive. I've bought the swaybar bushings that mount it to the frame for $75 a pair at the dealershit. I could see the end links maybe being 250 for the pair. Maybe 300. Not 230 each. If that's the case I have $920 worth of used but good shape end links in my garage not being used.

Better yet, I printed out the exploded view and the part number and am going to stop by the dealership after work to order the end links in person. I will keep you guys updated.

Well, stopped by the dealership yesterday. Apparently the V5175052AB part number is for a 'value line' end link and these parts are currently not available. The guy proceeded to look up the non-value line ones and he came back with that $230 per link price (same dead end road that dodgeman found). Even with my Chrysler employee discount it ended up being $194 per link. I told the guy "no thanks" turned around and left. I am dumbfounded those things are marked up that much. Thank you for that Jersey. I will tell this place to remove my end links from the order and refund me, but keep the bushings and send them to me. I'll go buy the ProFab ones today. I have an offroading event coming up, Wheelin for the Wounded, and I want my truck in ready shape to crawl the rocks, without being so squeaky.

Yeah, that's the same part I initially ordered, and same price as well. It is starting to sound like that if it says "Value Line", they no longer make the part which makes it hard to find.

I think value line is just an affordable part option that Chrysler does if they sell a frequent amount of that particular part. I bought 'value line' front rotors a few weeks ago for $60/piece. The initial ones were $120/piece. I asked the parts guy what the difference was (quality, materials, etc.) and he said "$60". When I talked to the parts guy about the end links, he looked it up in the computer and he said it is a new part number that hasn't been released yet. So it seems to me that they have intentions of making 'value line' end links, just have not started making them yet.

Oh gotcha. I like the sound of that better, versus them just trying to force customers to purchase their newer higher priced parts. I went ahead and ordered the DTProfab links and bushings from Mopar, and they arrive tomorrow, and will go on this weekend. Got a big weekend planned to work on truck, bushings, links, and changing out steering box and shaft to Borgeson. I hope that goes smoothly.

Awesome! I've been looking at the Borgeson stuff too. Keep me posted on how you like that and the end links. What symptoms do you have that point to you needing a new steering box?

Just a whole lot of play, especially from the center point. It could be the box or the shaft or both, plus I've read a lot on our Dodge steering gears being so worn out and after people throw the Borgeson on there, they love it. From what I've read, getting the shaft installed is the hardest part. I'll update this post again after it's done.

Gotcha. My truck has a lot of center point play as well, it was like that when I bought the truck back in March so I thought it was supposed to be like that. Or I thought maybe I needed to upgrade to the DOR heavy duty steering kit. Definitely keep me in the loop because if you see a significant improvement with the Borgeson I will definitely spring for it as well. Did you get the kit from DOR with the steering box, shaft, and brace?
