2015 Power Wagon

Post by Nuthouse » Wed Jun 17, 2015 5:40 pm

Found a PW on a lot 8 hrs. from the house that has been sitting on the lot a few months and is somewhat close to what I would order. Missing a couple of options I would like. Truck MSRP is $54,750 and I have them talked down to $47,000. Is there anymore room in that figure to work them a little harder?? MDH is 011521 on the door sticker

I'm in California and that sounds about as low as they will go out here but I found one in Idaho with 55k msrp that they are holding for me at 43.5k. Not sure how or why they can do it so much cheaper up there. The only downside is you have to fly and drive it back...

Mine stickered for 52k and I got it for a tad under 45k, so that sounds about right. If you can live without the options it's missing I'd pick it up.

I am located in the Cincinnati, OH area. I can add leather later and the more I think about it I can live with the 5.0 radio. I will keep this truck a long time.. Been looking for used and new is not to far off from the late model used prices. Used to be into the wheeling crowd with an 04 Rubicon that we built. Kids started getting older and them in the back on trail rides became like intense family fellowship for the whole family if you know what I mean. Sold that a few years ago and can't scratch the itch to get in the woods and wheel. Love trail riding and it gets me out of the shop once every month or two to clear my head.

My wife found a local new JKUR she has her heart set on, but I am leaning to the PW. The PW is a couch on wheels compared to the JKUR. My wheeling spots may have to change though

Are you guys talking out the door prices for 45k when the sticker is 52k? If so you guys got a great deal. The sticker on mine was 52.5 and I got it for 47k out the door.

I'd say $10K below sticker is about as much as you could push it ... That's what I got mine for

After using every radio they offer in these trucks I can say that I absolutely hate the 5" radio. The one in my wife's jeep constantly freezes and requires you to take the SD card out and reinsert it so it can read it, forgets there is a cd in the cd player and it is just generally a pain to use. The 8.4 is by far a better radio for pretty much every function.

Good info. I was thinking simpler is better and heard reports of the 8.4 being a pain. Thinking this afternoon with all the gear on these trucks the Max Care Lifetime Warranty is probably a good buy

ask the dealer to show you the invoice on the truck. you can find dealers selling them for 500 under invoice plus the factory cash back

That's not bad but there's more room at $47K. Before rebates & incentives, I paid like $1200ish below invoice. If your order it, the dealer pockets 100% holdback, nothing paid for overhead etc., which is around $2K+ for them, it's a no effort commission since you did all the leg work picking & ordering,

Do you know what all rebates they are applying? National rebate on the 2500s is $2500 and just using that amount of rebates into the price the $47000 figure is less than $1000 from the true net cost of the truck to the dealer after hold back and everything.

That was also with 3 days of negotiations too, so barely anything. I wanted the truck, they knew it, so they took the price down pretty quick and I took it instead of waiting because I wanted it NOW! Lol

Good info and thanks. I emailed the dealer two weeks ago and they said they would sell the truck for 47k. I told them I thought there was more room. I offered the $45,250 yesterday and they emailed back and said their bottom dollar at this time was 47,000 plus doc fees, this fee that fee and tax. I told them unfortunately I was at the 45,250 plus tax, and as a working man I felt I needed a great deal when I buy a large purchase. If they changed their mind in the near future before I found a PW or just decided to order one locally at a great buy I would entertain my offer. I would fly in to the nearest airport and finalize the deal

Mine stickered for $57,530 and I paid invoice $53,069 minus rebates of $3500 for a grand total of $49,569 or $7,961 off sticker.. Because my dealer got the truck from another dealer I couldn't get the holdback which was $1,690.
