Prep work is minimal. A good cleaning and you're ready to spray. Put down around 6 light coats allowing 5-10 minutes of dry time between each spray. Waited about 2 hours after the final coat to reassemble. Pretty happy with the result. I will attack the bumper today or tomorrow.

Looks good. Been wanting to do the same to mine but where yours is black paint mine red and black on the chrome. If I were doing it, I would do black on the bumper.

Looks good. I did my bumpers and grill in black Line- X because I was tired of the chrome. I think for your truck either black or gunmetal would look sweet on the bumper.

We need more of an angled picture so we can see how the whole color scheme flows together. That being said- I like it!

The weather cleared up and I was bored. Went exploring on an "Easy" trail (according to the internet).
Ended up getting off the trail and on a glorified goat path. The big pig did really well getting through a couple extremely tight and technical ravines. Ended up getting stopped on a 60degree loose shale slope. I tried it twice, all locked up, but just dug in. The sun was setting and I was alone, so I cut my loses and backed my way to the only turn around point.
The truck now has pin striping on every body panel and I am missing a wheel cover. The Plastidip held up pretty well to the abuse of pushing desert brush out of the way.

Mid Wash

Just need to respray a few more coats and it will be good as new.

I'm glad you did gun metal, now I know what mine would look like with it.

I'm pushed a couple of trees with mine and have a few scuff marks but a simple touch up and it's ready to go again. If you want to do your wheels, a simple trick I found is stick playing cards between the wheel and rubber.

I only do what the majority of the 4 voices in my head tell me to. In most cases, I ignore two of them because one doesn't speak English, and I suspect the other is talking to someone else.

The bumper and the grill turned out great! Hopefully with a little elbow grease the new pin striping will buff out too. If not, you've added a little character to your truck.

LOL- that's a great term for scratches. I'm going to use that instead of calling them "Character Marks."
