I now have a 78:1 crawl ratio stock. An Atlas 4 speed w/10:1 would give it a 286.368 crawl ratio !!!

The new 3.6l is really efficient at 65 to 70 mph. Over that we get 18.5 or so.olyelr wrote:Oh trust me, if I could keep both I would in a heartbeat. Just not really practical for us right now. So, my wife's JK does trails easier, is much more comfortable on and off road, and gets 20 MPG on the road, and 16 to 17 MPG when aired down. It can't tow our trailer, so if we go out of town, we're not camping. It is our primary off road vehicle.
The truck can tow our 4200 lb StarCraft 10RT off road camper to where we want to base camp, then go do the same trails as the Jeep, but gets 10 MPG towing, and 8 or less when aired down, makes trails a bit more challenging, and doesn't even come close in ride quality. It is my primary off road vehicle - if I'm going solo, I take the truck.
So it boils down to what you want and need - we need both...![]()
Are you saying the power wagon doesn't even come close to the ride quality of your jeep? That really surprises me. I think my jeep is the worst riding/driving vehicle I have ever owned (even when it was stock). And what is your secret for getting 20MPG?!?!?!?!? LOL
I have the 3.6 also. I remember when I first bought it and it was stock I could fairly easily muster 18-19 MPG, even saw a 20 MPG tank full before. But those numbers have been long gone with the lift and 35's.Cactus Red wrote: The new 3.6l is really efficient at 65 to 70 mph. Over that we get 18.5 or so.

Coming from a Jeep wrangler with a minivan motor I am sure it will feel like I am driving a race car hahaha.old sole mopar wrote:Got 4500km on my 2014 slt powerwagon. So glad I bought it. It's incredible! The power is good. The ride is great. My last truck was an 04 1 ton Cummins That was juiced. Better milage but no where as nice to drive as this. It will impress you!
wait till you put some shocks on it .....JBM Power Wagon wrote:The new 2014 and 2015 PW's actually have a GREAT on road ride. The coils and shocks are tuned very well. In 3 months I have 11,000km on mine with several multi-hour highway trips and this truck rides awesome. And on rough gravel and dirt roads it is better than any other 3/4 ton truck out there by a mile! I had a 2011 before this one and the new truck is quite a bit better.Cactus Red wrote:We're fortunate to have both a '09 PW and a 12' JKUR. I've also done 2 wheeling trips in the last 3 months and with the tires aired down the truck is also quite smooth off road.
I had a Jeep about 10 years ago and I LOVED it but my lifestyle now requires a truck.
Yeah, there is no question in my mind that I will absolutely love it. I have always been a truck guy, but never really use a truck as a truck necessarily so figured I would try out a Jeep. I do love the Jeep, but I just havn't got into it as much as a most Jeepers do ... I guess I am just a truck guy.2wagons1driveway wrote:Ps you'll love the wagon. It's a functional vehicle as long as you don't jack the eff out of it and make it an awkward pant splitting jump to get into it (like mine) you'll be very happy. Tows awsome confidence inspiring to drive on and offroad. And the added fact that it is a factory built offroad vehicle attributes it to it's reliability. Not to mention a ton of room under the hood to work on it when it needs anything! (That's hard to find on a truck these days)

Well hey there fellow Michigander! WTF is up with our stupid weather. Over a month ago I was blowing knee deep snow, now its almost Christmas and it's warm, raining and there are people doing yard clean-ups. Typical northern MI!adeluca73 wrote:
Newbie, I'm from Mi too. Just got back from a hunting trip up between Mio & Lewiston.
Yup! That's me. Small World...........olyelr wrote:Heck, now that I read your user name and saw something about 8 lug truck gear it kind of rings a bell. You didn't happen to buy a house on the west side of TC a few years ago maybe? Well I'll be! It is a small world! Yes, my name is Brandon. I remember some stuff from that day, like a nice house on a big hill that has a really deep septic tank LOL, but I certainly don't remember a crush JK. I think you were driving a full size truck, and for some reason I thought it was a Super Duty but maybe a Ram.Skyd Ram wrote:Yup! That's me. We bought that house up on the hill in Cedar and I'm guessing that your name is Brandon?
I'm not sure what we were driving when you were there but I doubt that you would have missed our JK:

Jeesh, what a coincidence. Do you have a store in town? If so I will have to stop by some time and check it out.
