What does the transfer case level feel like when you try to move it? Does the level move and the light on the dash doesn't light? Need more input.

The manual says don't put transmission in Neutral, it says "moving at 2-3mph, move the shift lever smoothly & firmly through Neutral (xfer case) into 4-Lo w/o stopping"

my book on page 268 says put it in neutral, 2 mph and shift lever to low.. I have made a mistake once in gear rolling slow and it did not work. for 4 years it has worked.

The procedure may have changed since the redesign on the 2014 model year, technically the 2014 is a 5th gen. On the late models, Chrysler went back to using a CAD in the front axel.

Check the linkage, there is a bushing that can wear out and bolts that might be loose.

thanks it looks like linkage is where to go. and dodge still cant fix the sway bar hiten on the end link. thats another story. Warrentee did just cover a $850 solinoid pack for the whinch though. ya right 850? and i only used it twice, well once, the time i really needed it it did not work with 60 feet of cable out and would not retrive it.

Weird is right sounds like linkage. Usually the cheap plastic clip breaks but then your shifter just flops around. I always swap mine in neutral and it works great!

And they voided the warranty because the lighter was not a factory or dealer-installed part...

well back from the dealer and that lighter cost me 125.00. had the front brakes done as well for another $ and they feel like mushy. I thought the dealer had the best people to work on our trucks. Not

Very hard to find a good stealership that knows our trucks. Majority of them just sling oil and tires at caravans and darts ya know. I've dealt with 4 dealers around me and will not be back to any of them.

Dumb question. What kind of lighter was it.

$125.00 bic and now the truck is going back to the dealer so they can get the air out of my brake lines and try to fix my sway bar so it stays centered. The dealer thinks bushings and end links will keep it centered but i dont think that will work. Oh ya they want $750 to replace worn bushings and worn endlinks that are not worn.
