Ya it was fun! I love the mountains. Did some fishing and exploring on the ATV. The wife was out in the kayak. The wagon pulled the trailer at 8500 lbs without trouble until we ran into a vicious head wind coming home. The fuel economy (60 mph) was 5-7 mpg at that point... Ouch. It was the only time I had wished I had a Diesel engine since owning the truck. When that hemi starts reving high, the fuel economy goes out the window.

I so want a low boy gooseneck. Had to move this thing this weekend. Rated at 20k and probably weighs half that. Definitely could tell it was there. Found out the plug in the bed doesn't work, lights or brakes so luckily the electrical lead was designed to be plugged into the bumper one anyhow

thanks buddy. shaved the front and rear ram head also. cant decide if I want to reapply rear logo sticker, switch to emblems like Laramie, or keep it non descript and remove hood stickers also. every other sticker or emblem is gone. cant get photobucket to cooperate or id load up pictures.

shaner82 wrote:For those that have pulled near the maximum weight, what kind of mileage are you getting on the highway? I'm looking at a trailer that's 11,000 lbs, but I'm hesitating due to the gas costs. I would be pulling it quite a bit.

I have got as much as 10 mpg & as little as 3 mpg (towing at max load, up a loooong steep hill, in 3rd gear @ 5500 rpm's). On a side note: I get 8-10 mpg empty. So, to me, towing is a non-issue. Gotta love the G56.

While I do like the hood sticker, it would be cool to see a '10-'13 with no badging except for the newer style chrome raised letters on the tail gate and nothing else. :D

Only thing on mine is the Hemi badge on the quarter panel. I like being incognito, stock rims, Yoko 37's that nobody realizes how tall they are until they stand next to them...they definitely don't notice the winch and unaware of the full lock. :D

I only do what the majority of the 4 voices in my head tell me to. In most cases, I ignore two of them because one doesn't speak English, and I suspect the other is talking to someone else.

I know everyone has their own opinion of the PW decals, but personally I like the PW's decal'd and badged. We all bought specialized vehicles and I for one like the advertisement. In fact, since my Tradesman only came with the tailgate decal I plan to add the three hood decals, both bedside decals, and I'll be bed lining the lower body panels to be more in line with the SLT model. I would have just purchased an SLT, but I really didn't want all the stuff that comes with it and I wanted to maximize payload and towing capacity as much as I could since I tow and plan to add a bed camper (Four Wheel Campers Hawk). Just my two cents ...

Looks good Will. Question, which I'm sure you mention some where, how are you running the 37s? Lift at all and/ or control arms? Thanks

Lol, I forgot this was a towing thread, I was convinced it was the picture thread. That tailgate looks too bland for me, having nothing looks a little ugly. I like having just the sticker on the hood and then de-badging down the side, that looks nice and clean. The Ram head removal looks a little odd too, at least on the front.

No sarcasm, Will posted that pic of just his truck and then I forgot what thread I was in. I was a little tired and threads begin to blur together when I get on here after work at 12am. I forget to pay attention, lol.
