Important Locker Bypass Question for Future kits

Post by myoung84 » Tue Jun 03, 2014 9:37 am

Got a question for you guys. Do you have an issue with adjusting the relays yourself on future kits? I used to use my truck to adjust them but it's gone now. I'm sure I could build a small box to simulate the selector knob but it would be much simpler to just have you guys do it. It's very simple, just turn the knob to rear, adjust relay 1 until it trips, turn knob to front/rear, adjust relay 2 until it trips, then put the cover on the box. That's it.

Is this something that you guys would be good with?

I guess as long as there are detailed instructions contained within the materials. I wouldn't have a problem with it.

He just gave the instructions, "turn it until it trips"

I only do what the majority of the 4 voices in my head tell me to. In most cases, I ignore two of them because one doesn't speak English, and I suspect the other is talking to someone else.

I can adjust it too. Question, is the relay adjustment a set screw in the low voltage end of the contactor, that requires taking off the housing to access or are these fancy relays with external rheostat knobs?

It's a surface mount pot, very easy to get to. Just need a small screwdriver.
