Question about new PW with two altenators

Not sure about the standard features.Many articles on the PW say it has two alternators.Is this an option or standard ???????? I am waiting on mine !!

Hello there this is simply an option it comes standard with a 180 amp

IMHO, this should be STANDARD on the Power Wagon. But at this time, it is an option.

One's a 160 amp and the other is a 220 amp

RIGHT!!!. if there is ever a truck that needs high amps its a truck with a winch...ie our power wagons. :angry:

Ditto-- I added it too. Security blanket that really should be standard. I mean if the engineers think it's a good idea to offer it because it might be useful some day, well then it should be there for all PW users... :doh:

Is there a kit for the 5.7 that allows for a second alternator?

I was looking at some of the adjustable features on my 2009 PW the other day and saw dual alternator enable as an option. It will require more than that but it is there. So I suspect it is a possible option on emergency vehicles because there were other features for emergency vehicles like alternating headlamps and hi low flash enable and flash speeds etc. All I did was turn the headlamps off on unlock feature. I have no garage and got tired of being blinded when walking up to my truck and unlocking it LOL.

There are a boatload of features that I do not understand the codes to yet... but man is there a ton of optional features I can decipher. Fogs and High beams enable, lights on with wipers auto, dimmable daytime running lamps, high and low beam light intensity adjustments, Light auto off delay setting, HID light enable, aux power delay time delay etc.
