Paddle shifters? Anybody got any ideas?

Post by Thatdodgeguy » Sun Feb 23, 2014 6:26 pm

My truck has the auto stick feature & I would enjoy probably playing with it a lot more but it's just less than exhilarating to change gears on a button toggle on my gear shifter on the column.

Some paddles might be nice. Anybody got any ideas?
2010 Ram Power Wagon. dual exhaust, CAI, 87mm moes throttle body, diablo intune, spyntec manual hub kit, icon control arms, top gun customz panhard adjustable bar, 2 inch coil spacer. Stock shocks. 35x12.50x17 general grabber red letter out, amp power steps. Electric fan. Top gun customz +2 sway bar end links.

My absolute favorite things I've put on thus far, the amp power steps & those icon control arms (tire rub drives me nuts). That & every performance bolt on I've put on I freaking love, but if I had to choose it would be those steps (gotta bad leg & the steps are a major help) & icon control arms.

Buy the right parts the first time! Because the job is done, when it's done right!

We need to make sure Myyoung sees this thread! After he gets done with the locker by-pass kits he's going to need another project. :D

Seriously. Come on myoung. Cuz it's either that or ag56 swap. I think for now paddles are at least a slightly saner idea until she's paid for. Of course I've never really been all that sane.

And like my esteemed colleague twinstick said driving should be fun. At least that's what he meant to say I think.

I've got them them on the Jeep and I'm not impressed. I've used them once and they don't make it any more sporty, just a quick way to force a down shift. My old SRT Charger had Auto Stick and it worked very well. The truck, not so much.

And I really don't need any more projects. My wife hates you guys already! LOL

I did find these...

Yeah I've never been impressed at my auto stick but it seems after installing my diablo tuner it will literally let me hold any gear until its just plain stupid which mind you, I don't do, but before it seemed at least to me the thing would just still kinda shift the gears for you if it didn't like what you were doing. Now it does make it a bit more fun.

I'm just not overjoyed to be playing with the gear knob on the colum. Just doesn't do it for me.
