I had contacted the GM at Ed Voyles Jeep and we were emailing back and forth. I drove a JK Unlimited Sport ---- it's much LESS of a vehicle than a PW or Rubicon but I could live with it. Through experience I knew that the trade value of the PW wouldn't be enough for a direct swap with the Jeep but the GM stated, "It is not always about the money, we will do all we can!! "
Well, their offer yesterday was my truck + $7,000 for the JKUS. It seems that it is always about the money and they don't do all they can.

I'm so over this truck. I've just lost all faith in it and any good feeling I've ever had for it.
And I've lost all faith in Muther Chrysler/FIAT.

You'd be better off selling it outright to someone. The only advantage in trading it in is, at least in AZ, is in the taxes paid on the sale. But we've always made more than that up in the higher price.

Have you looked on the used market for a '12 or '13 JKUR?

There really needs to be a class action lawsuit brought up against Chrysler on the TIPM module failures. There are thousands of them that fail every year.
My 06 Megacab dually's TIPM went out. I lost all of my trailer lights-blinker/brake/turn signal's.
I thought it was just a small wiring problem, but I couldn't find anything wrong. I took it to my local mechanic, and he found the problem-the TIPM module. After looking on the web at all of the people that have the same part failing,I called my local dealer and asked the service manager about it.He said they have to fix those all off the time, but there's never been a recall on the part.
My truck was out of warranty,so I would have to pay around $1200 to fix it. After arguing with Chrysler for weeks on this issue, and failing to get it fixed on their dime,I just removed my lighted headache rack that was wired into the trailer light harness, sent the truck to the detail shop for a top to bottom detail, and then went looking for a new truck.
I found my 2012 PW at another dealer, and after buying it,I sold them my 2006 Megacab for about $10k less than I paid for it brand new.
Since the 2006 was a low mileage, one owner vehicle-the dealer would sell it as a certified vehicle, and end up having to fix the problem for the next owner.
Screw Chrysler, and their unfriendly business practices. When someone spends big money on a vehicle, the mfg should fix their problems for free when it is a flawed design or part.

This whole thread really bums me out. Granted I've only had my truck for a little over two years and almost 20,000 miles, but my Power Wagon is the nicest vehicle I've ever owned. I'm sorry you've gotten such a crappy experience out of your truck.

You guys have all been awesome.

And so was Trocalli Jeep today. Best buying experience I ever had ---- warm and family-like.

AWESOME!

I know you'll enjoy it. Take a look at the Miss Rubi Mod thread on the Portal - I can spend money for ya fast... The AV 2.5 XT lift is great for a JKU, and much like 35's on a PW, I feel it's almost the mandatory minimum to get the best out of the vehicle.

We'll be lesser for having you no longer part of the PW family, but that's the way it goes.

Mark
