Yet another locker problem

Post by bigblackdodge » Sun Jan 19, 2014 11:03 am

I'm on myyoung's list for the oem knob locker bypass. BUT... My rear locker light has been flashing for almost a year. :wtf: The stealership says it is bringing up 2 codes : the old c1452. Which is the sensor code and it is active. And (here's the kicker) a c1454 code which is the rear locker actuator. (That code is stored they say) Now, I figure with my shiny new bypass kit, I should be able to fix this. However, I'm worried that even after I install the kit, I won't be able to lock up the lockers. Any thoughts on how I can figure out if my locker actuator is cooked? I know I can try and lock it in but it seems like because the sensor code is there, it wouldn't let me lock up the rear (don't even think about the front anymore) and worst case scenario, how do I go about changing the actuator? I'm am wayyyy off warranty. Thanks guys

This is how i tested mine Jack up one rear tire, unplug the rear locker plug and use a FUSED jumper wire to power the locker solenoid direct. Just remember to ground the other side of the solenoid. And somewhere on the fourm you can find the wire colours you need to use I just can't remember which ones they are
