Strange unknown part found
Took Black Betty through the wash yesterday and picked this up after spraying the rear underside bed/bumper area... any idea what it is or if its actually of my PW?

You sure it wasn't already in the stall before you went in there? Otherwise it kinda looks like it might be some sort of spacer type washer maybe for a bolt to the bumper.

Not completely sure but I do think the stall had just been cleaned. Everything else around it had came out of my bed.

Looks like part of the muffler bearings!!!
LOL
Seriously though, I've put my bumper on and off three times, and taken the bed off to do some "trimming".... And I've never seen a part like that off the truck.

Re: Strange unknown part found
Looks like part of a jack hold down clip or something similar. First pic you can see where a nut has been tightened on it and second pic you can see the flat has been pushing on something like a jack rod or wrench.

I second Trouble Makers opinion. Bicycle seats also have a similar part (one on each side) that clamps down on the seat rails underneath the seat.
2005 Black Pow Wagon mods: DT Profab Steering Brace, Gibson superflow catback single exhaust system, Locker Bypass, Moog ball joints (see how long they last), New OEM track bar bushings, T-steering upgrade w/ Bilstein 5100 steering damper, Power everything, Heated leather seats, (keeps the better half happy), Rear window defrost, Bilstein 5100 shocks, 35x12.5x17 Toyo AT2 Extremes, Customized H2 alloy wheels, Original rock rails with family friendly steps welded on, Tri fold tonneau, Hi-lift extreme jack, Tool box along with all the essential PW gear. New winch cable, Winch TPS bypass, Cardan joint grease zerk discovery. New front grille assembly. Magnesium Chloride under coating.

Mine doesn't have that, but other styles may. Looks to me like it is a mounting tab of some sort. If you don't hear rattling, you're probably good. Someone else may in big trouble though...GunniPWguy wrote:I second Trouble Makers opinion. Also I am regretting washing her after a stroll through the woods... kinda hard to see but I now have some decently deep branch swirled scrapes starting between front door handle and pin stripe going back and up ending In a dent just forward of rear handle under body line on the pass side... ugh, bound to happen sooner or later though right... I havent been able to locate anything so I think im in the clear.

Looking at the pic again, it looks like it's been ground on the concrete for a while. Definitely not something that just fell off.

Should have said old school bike seats. That thing is way too fancy of a crotch rocket to have old school seat parts.wingerak92 wrote:Mine doesn't have that, but other styles may. That one is even fancier than mine. Upgraded front fork, pedals and brakes haha.GunniPWguy wrote: Should have said old school bike seats. That thing is way too fancy of a crotch rocket to have old school seat parts.
Re: Strange unknown part found
Its a motor mount to a 2010 Toyota Prius. So that was wedged in your undercarraige? Cool.
Enjoy this life, cause it's all we're getting.
