Recovery staps

Post by pzoeller » Mon Jun 11, 2012 6:58 pm

Not sure if this is the proper place or not but figured I'd post it anyway......

For all the canucks, TSC has Erickson recovery straps on for 50% off this week. I'm going to go pick up a couple spares.

Has anyone ever used them?

I use my Erickson straps all the time. They have been a real good strap for me, and I've never had a problem with them.

These are the only ones I use. Ask the guys at Rausch if they work....they have pulled me out and others as well. I've pulled everything from small cars to tractor trailer with them.
I think they are great.

I have 2 of the 3" ones. They work well. No problems. Not sure if i would do a hammer down pull with them though, but thats just me. I hate to tear shit up unnecessarily though.

I have the same, 30'X3" rated at 26,000 or 27.000 lbs. Mine are the snatch straps, not tow straps. They do very well with about 4' of slack, full throttle. I've used them with about 6' of slack with some SUVS and never had a problem.
