So I'm not really to sure what to do about the sway bar link hitting on the coil bucket. Any suggestions would be great. Maybe call Carli.

Loosen the mounts and take off the links and walk, twist and push it over to where it belongs. What worries me is why and how it moved in the first place.

Carli would be a good source for information but our PWs seems to stump the beast of them at times.

Update. Uncounted sway bar and repositioned them and remounted. We will see what happens. I was thinking that maybe when I was installing the track bar that this May have happened. When I was turning the wheels to get the track bar holes to line up and install the bolts. Not having the track bar hooked up and the weight on the front of the truck while rocking the steering back and forth

If you control arms are longer than stock and you don't have more than a 3" lift (1" for PW) they will hit the drivers side coil bucket because the axle has been push forward it's normal and nothing to worry about.

I had the same issue with my Carli arms and used a dremel to grind out a small notch and problem solved. Even if you don't want to grind out a notch it will self notch over time anyway.

This is true when using a track bar to center the axle after lift but his immediate issue was the swaybar link bolt and the fact that the swaybar had moved quite a bit over to the passenger side. Seems like he figured out why and was able to move it back. No harm no foul.

Carl still wanting to see better pics of this. From a couple angles if you could. Would you say it's a ride improvement even with the stock shocks. Getting ready to pull the trigger on this same setup, put with carli control arms would do thuren arms but do not want to wait. Also anybody find a cheaper adjustable track bar that's just as good. What's the difference?

Um... I think the issue with the bolt on your Carli arms hitting the upper coil bucket is that the head is suppose to be on the frame side or better said you insert the bolt from the inside to the outside on the axle end and then it will clear without hitting anything. If installed the other way it will hit the upper coil bucket at the lower rear where it meets the frame but only when close to or being fully compressed.

Yes the ride is better even with the stock shocks. I think it's just that the springs are just that much better. I'll get some pics up tomorrow but I have to warn you the truck is dirty, I woke up to snow today after washing it yesterday :thppt: and had to do some running around(pick up deer meat from the butcher)! :D oh ya and it did settle some and seems to have just a little rake.

Truck looks great. I think this is the route I will go. Any more problems with the sway bar?

Looked at it the other day and it did shift back a little from where I moved it to. Have not checked in a few days because I'm on night shifts right now but I'll check it tomorrow. Other than that I'm very happy with it. Just the difference in ride quality was worth it.

So with those coilovers, you'd have the entire weight of the front of the trucks on a couple of bolted on shock towers? Not sure I like that...

Most rock buggys and stuff use the same/similar setups so It should be fine. I could not find the "fabricated tower" though.

To get equivalent wheel travel on a 3" lift similar to a PW the shock will need to poke through the hood. There is a reason you do not see a coil-over kits until you go past 8" of lift... wheel travel being one of them.

Coilovers are nice. Pure Performance has an 8" chase system with coil overs but only has 10" of travel. Pretty widely used system in Offroad buggies.
