Blacked out head and tail lights...?

Post by jeep_boy02 » Mon Aug 12, 2013 8:42 pm

Thinking of doing some "black out" mods to Black Betty... thinking to start with the headlights since they dont impress me at all and it will be awhile till I need new tires so the black wheels will wait till then too.

found and kinda like the look of these... any one have any other sets or experience with any?

Not sure if they have matching tails but will be doing those too and would like to stay some what in the same design realm

I tinted my taillights myself kept them stock because cheap to replace if broken, and I picked up from a friend tinted headlights, im very disappointed in headlights the light output is horrible I would go with covers so you can remove them. unless you are like me and only drive in the day light

For the headlights, check out the Retro Shop. They are going to be your best bet. Jeremy can paint them any color you want and install aftermarket projectors that are designed for HIDs, much better than cheapo projectors that are designed for halogen bulbs in the link you posted. You're going to pay a little more but you get some awesome lights painted and configured exactly how you want. He can also paint tail lights and they look awesome!

Shoot an email to Jeremy at the Retro Shop and tell him Morgan sent you. jeremy@retroshop.us. http://shop.retroshop.us/

And here's some pics of his magic on my truck.
