Those large gash marks look strange, perhaps something was wedged in there to get the ball joints out. The small vertical lines indicate knurled ball joints were previously used so you will need to use them again, smooth sided ball joints won't hold.
The install should be fine, if the ball joints aren't real tight you can slightly marr the inside of the sleeve with a small chisel and reinstall them. Good Luck!
