Re: 100% cure for death wobble
Twin Stick was the 100% cure for Death Wobble.
Re: 100% cure for death wobble
my $0.02, death wobble on my 04 ram 2500 diesel was caused by the tires i was running on it. Rotated/balanced the hell out of them, ended up replacing the tires with a different brand (that truck did not like the bf goodrich t/a) haven't seen an issue on my 18 PW w/cooper s/t maxx 35's
Re: 100% cure for death wobble
Hi Guys,
Some of you already know this but name is Chris and I am the sales guy at Thuren Fabrication.
I would like to help you with thread. This is not to discredit anyone, just add feed back to help.
While a steering damper will help mask the issue it is not the fix. It is like adding a band aid to a cut that needs stitches. Here is a quick break down to fix death wobble.
1. Thuren of Carli Track bar. The number cause of Death wobble is deflection in the track bar and the soft bushings!!!
2. Alignment. Yes alignment! I have personally had an alignment done on a stock mega cab truck and drove off and got death wobble. Took it back and made them double check to Thuren specs and it was way off. Had them put to spec and no DW after.
3. Tires. Often I will get a call that someone put tires on their trucks with alignment and they got death wobble. Cheap mud tires will cause this real quick due to weight of these trucks (more on CTD). The list of tires so far is BFG All terrain, ACE, Cooper (some models) and any other sub par cheap tire.
4. Dampers. You can add as many dampers as you like. But just like adding a bunch of earrings to a pig it doesn't make it any prettier. A QUALITY damper designed around a Dodge platform will work much better.

If you guys have any questions call me or tag me I will be glad to help. I don't do forums as much as I should these days since it is a full time job keeping up with social media.
