Well... I've been waiting for a new build thread for the Rusty Rubi. Or is it just collecting dust in your garage? You must be getting ready for the annual Rausch Creek run, no? :poke:
I started today on installing a 2.5" lift. Got the rear finished. Using Clayton springs, rear track bar is a Clayton. It has a bend in it to clear a 37" spare tire. Front track bar is a Core 4x4. The shocks are Bilstein 5100. Using Teraflex geo brackets on the front control; arms. Already have a combination of Rusty's Offroad and Rock Hard suspension mount skid plates. Have a Banks Derringer, Pedal Monster, and iDash gauge. Have White Knuckle sliders. Still have to get my 37's yet. Walmart has been having great prices on tires. A lot of the guys on the Gladiator forum get their tire from there. I'll start another build thread once I'm done installing the front lift.

Rausch Creek is the June 23th weekend. Looking forward to it.

I do miss my PW. But not the fuel mileage of it. Around town with the Rubi diesel. I'm getting 22 mpg. Highway is 29 mpg. I believe it would walk away from my PW in a drag race.

You won't lose but maybe 3 mpg on the 37s.

What made you piece it all together rather than a Clayton kit? Seems like a hassle

need mods... too little time and money

2010 black pearl(PXR) on 35s, bypass harness, gooseneck, CAI, 3" magnaflow catback, bulldog hemi GT.... more to come soon

From reading on the Gladiator forum. Clayton diesel springs have the right spring rate. I want to go with Core 4x4 control arms front and rear because they have Jonny Joints on both ends. The other companies don't have that. I wanted Teraflex adjustable shocks but went with the Bilstein's for the time being. I installed Teraflex geometry brackets in the front. It's no one company makes everything I want.

Makes sense. I was surprised the metalcloaks were only single adjustable

Clayton's got good stuff.

I'm rebuilding a JKU on 42s with all EVO stuff and I wouldn't buy their stuff after seeing all this.

Granted the guy should have went with a full custom link setup but I've read a just as much bad on them as good.
