HORSEPOWER..... Round 2

Being that it's the off season... It's time to start thinking of the 2015 pulling season!!

I have a decent amount of changes that I'm making: front weight box, fuel cell, aftermarket fuel pump..... And a new power plant!!!!

A new 6.1 block was purchased yesterday!!! I'm going for ALOT more power then what I had. I won't give as many details on exact motor specs, due to a public forum.... But it'll be a hand full!!

My old motor will be a nice spare/backup motor!

Haha. I can't wait for this to take off. My wife is ok with the hp but not the cost associated with it.

I got Hannah to ride in it one time...... And she said never again...... I don't think she liked chirping tires going into 4th!!!! And she said it was too loud at 7000 rpms!!!

What kind of HP #'s & Torque are you looking at ? What transmission are you running ?

Looking north of 800 hp. Torque numbers will be a close to that number too.

Still planning on using the G56. I'm keeping my eye open for a NV4500. Because, I believe they share all the same parts as a Cummins and GM NV4500. If I go to the NV, it'll most likely get some treatment from
Profab or Proformance Pros and get custom gears cut. That way 2,3,4th gear would different pulling gears. 1 would be pit gear and 5 could still go down the road.

When I'm bored at work, I think I'm going to work on a Tshirt/hoodie design.

Thinking "Power Wagon Addiction" Pulling Team. Since the truck is called "Rehab"

And have a logo made for the semi.....

Couple questions- was anything special required to mount the 6.1 in front of the G56? And what kind of clutch is there for a hemi G56 that would hold up to that kind of power?

If the 6.1 is a direct fit, would the 6.4 and the supercharged 6.2 work as well?

The 6.1 bolted right up.

No aftermarket clutch is out there to hold the power..... Yet.....

I have a centerforce clutch in it now, but I think the only reason it was holding, was because it's so warped from the heat. Lol

I'm working with a couple different companies to offer a performance clutch for it. I know the clutch that'll go back in mine will be a one of a kind. Because I haven't found anyone making that kind of power.... For sled pulling. Guys that are making the power are running autos for drag racing.

As far as the 6.4/6.2. Anything will work with the right budget. I know a couple modifications need made for wiring (nothing major) I'm going to guess that an adapter plate will be needed for the front cover. Modded oil pan.

Did some more digging. The 6.2 and 6.4 would take a decent amout of work to swap them in. Not nearly as easy as the 6.1
