Tires, it happened, and they're 37's...
Ok, was able to drop the truck off before the movers showed up this morning. 37" Nitto Ridge Grapplers installed on stock PW wheels w/ 1.5" Truxx level, took less than an hr, had them air to -10% max (50psi Max) so about 45psi all around, measured height is right at 36.66", at 50psi they measured around 36.85", EVIC is freaking out of course, no correction available till AEV sells the ProCal or you buy a spendy programmer/tuner, speedo is off by 5mph according to the speedometer app I installed on my iPhone (PW: 35/Ip: 39, PW: 40/Ip: 45, PW: 45/Ip: 50, PW: 50/Ip: 56), tires ride great, way softer than the Duratracs (still had 12/32" left, so weren't as bad as I thought), and they are definitely quieter, did some full lock turns in the parking lot & no rubbing so far, didn't notice much breaking difference, but I drive like a granny, acceleration took a hit even with 4.88's, MPGs down about .5-1mpg, 1oz,1.5oz, 2.5oz, 4oz were the balance weights, they said the stock tires had over 20ozs glued all around the inside wheel. $1179 OTD installed & balanced, no hazard warranty, After 10 miles, couldn't be happier. Oh and bonus, sold my Duratracs in one day on CL for $125 ea

Your truck looks awesome. Personally I'd skip the Procal and get a Diablo Sport instead. I don't think there is anything you can do about the TPMS...I've given up on mine.adeluca73 wrote:Ok, was able to drop the truck off before the movers showed up this morning. Thanks man!! Well I am hesitant to spend that kind of $ on a tuner. I will if I have to. However, according to the ProCal literature, it can adjust tire size ( for speedometer), axle ratio (For tranny), & tire pressure setting (for TPMS).Reloaderguy wrote: Your truck looks awesome. Yeah, I let them go for $400. They were actually at 11-12/32", so more than ½ life I guess, more than I thought at nearly 30K miles, and a little chunking on the side lugs from off roading up North, nothing too bad I think.olyelr wrote:Looking goooood!

Re: Tires, it happened, and they're 37's...
Really, when was that? I thought with the new WiTech II, dealers were locked out from making changes to the RFH, which is needed to register new pressures. You can still make a change in the BCM, but w/o RFH assess, the light will still come on. But who really knows. I've spent 3 days vigorously researching this & honestly, I still can't tell if it's something that can be changed as of today. Maybe it could have been changed with WiTech I & the right voodoo dance, but I'm skeptical now. FCA has there collective head in their ass on this.hammer40 wrote:I had my TPMS adjusted down to 50 front and rear at the dealer. No more lights.Reloaderguy wrote:Your truck looks awesome. Re: TD's 2014 Red PW Build Thread
The tuner costs almost as much as the Procal but it gives you more control and transmission programming. I need to see some evidence the ProCal can adjust the TPMS because the instructions tell you to take it to the dealer to have the thresholds changed. I presume they mean with a WiTech.adeluca73 wrote:Thanks man!! Well I am hesitant to spend that kind of $ on a tuner. I will if I have to. Re: TD's 2014 Red PW Build Thread
Hey, yes you're correct, you can set the TPMS threshold with a ProCal; however, you need your VIN assigned PIN # which you're supposed to get from the dealer, then you can change the BCM with the ProCal, but I think the RFH still has to be accessed by a WiTech.Reloaderguy wrote:The tuner costs almost as much as the Procal but it gives you more control and transmission programming. It looks like some of the guys on CF may have cracked the TPMS reset procedure. I'd be interested in a Procal for the fog light programming alone.

Re: TD's 2014 Red PW Build Thread
Right, which is what I was saying before:Reloaderguy wrote:Its the procedure listed in the AEV instructions using currently available diagnostic tools such as Auto Enginuity.
Using the Procal will program the Tire Pressure In ation Value for the vehicle, the vehicle’s information screen may indicate the new programmed value right away, but it will not “take” until this process below is completed:
1. Contact your dealer’s part department about obtaining your vehicle’s PIN, the PIN is a unique 4 digit number based on your vehicle’s VIN.
2. Using WiTech 1 or 2 (desktop application or web interface), access the Radio Frequency Hub (RFH) module.
3. Select the option to Program an Ignition FOBIK (Key).
4. Forward through the menus until you are asked for a PIN Number.
5. Enter that vehicle’s PIN
6. After entering a PIN, the application will ask you if it is correct, select Yes or Continue.
7. Close the Program FOBIK process. Do not continue with programming a key.
8. Return to the main menu of the WiTech program.
9. Access the “Diagnostic Procedures” page.

Re: TD's 2014 Red PW Build Thread
You can't buy the Procal though. I assume AEV has an agreement with FCA that limits who can get a Procal in exchange for the technology necessary to interface vehicle computers.

Exactly...but I've been working this behind the scenes with AEV & trying to get them to sell me one w/o buying their suspension first.Reloaderguy wrote:You can't buy the Procal though.
