HAHA, I'm in North Florida, it finally got to freezing last night. All of December was damn near 80F and many nights were high 60F.

I need more HP! BTW, if anyone wants throttle sound from their intake, cut a 2"x3" hole in it. I cut the corner off for the shock tower and now it is loud at certain rpm, might as well change it now.

Hit the trails again after work, I can get to the front Boogies fairly easy trying to, no problem when picking lines. 50-60mph is very controlled. In soft sand, I could not make it hop/wrap so that's a huge plus to me.

First of all, looks good. Awesome job. Second, are you still using the stock front springs? Also, does it flex better?

Great job

Here is my morning drive. It's boring. Looks way smoother than it is. The snow and ice filling most of the holes helps

Yea I noticed a real improvement in the reduction of wheel hop with my stage two 2.5" King smoothies. Not so much so with my twin tube bypasses. I can also very easily get into my DYSCO bumps, but not so much so that I'm really loading them. I can't really tell I'm even hitting them except that the rate of compression control ramps up so much more quickly. Ive gotten use to the limits now and my only fear is that awe cwap moment when I misjudge the terrain. I'm still going to truss it though, just have other priorities at the moment.

I have the Daystar cups and Firestone bags now and plan to go with the boogie bumps when my project is done and I don't do as much heavy hauling. With the air bags I really limit my off roading at speed quite a bit.

Sounds like you are really happy with your setup and are now using most of your suspension travel (as it should be). Makes for a much more enjoyable, smooth and controlled ride. As your shocks break in the smaller stuff becomes less of an impact but you do not loose any high speed control. So the street ride is going to get more compliant in as little as 3 months or so. You are also going to get accustom to the way the truck rides and will start to take it for granted (like a wife over the years). When this comes to pass just go ride in a stock one and you will feel better again. Note however... do not try this with a wife as it does not work out the same way!

Stock springs Stubie, yesterday, I was not able to find a hill tall enough to find the limit, however, I have picked up the rear tire on that exact same spot in the past with stock shocks so I know it's more than stock. I'll try to flex it with the fork lift later this week but would really like to find a better hill so I dont put sooo much side pressure on the tire. There's a possibility it will drop the driverside front far enough for the coil to get loose which I want to find out to see if I need limit straps on it. I should have it in the shop on a lift Friday for ball joint replacement. I'll try to get by there while it's up to take some pics.

You can see here, this is how far I had to droop the axle to get the shock low enough to get the tower in place. I didn't make note of the spring status once I bolted the shock in but it is very close to a loose spring. Definitely relaxed. The driver side is my only concern really, because the track bar wont let the passenger side go down far enough to pop the spring out.

You might want to put limit straps in if you land badly on that spring it would be catastrophe for your new kings Or look Into coil clamps. To pull the spring apart and increase it range of motion!

When changing springs I had to disconnect track bar. Also your control arms arnt resisting like bushing arms like mine so you get full droop easier. Not sure if you will manage to Pop out that spring while in use but wouldn't hurt to have something to keep it in place just in case. Clamp might cause spring bind. Limit straps would be the way to go.

I almost had to disconnect the track bar, I was able to squeeze the ring up and the tower down to barely get a thread started on the closest bolt. Then I used it to pull it together until I could get the next on and finally the third. So thinking back on it, yes, the passenger side can go that low as well because the coil was out of the bucket while I did that, enough I could stick a screwdriver in there to lift the ring with the studs on it. I do think I will need limiting straps. I'll plan to investigate further when it's on the lift Friday..

Doesn't look bad but I'm also building a house so I'm gonna let the shop do this one. I have axle u joints coming also, they'll do all joints for $340 so I can't refuse. My time is worth more than that right now.

I buy all my tires from there and get free rotate and balance plus I got a lifetime alignment deal for $174 about two years ago and if I leave it with them for the day, they'll rotate and balance and throw it on the alignment rack every time. So this time I'm basically getting all that done together for the $340...
