Thanks man, hopefully be back on the road soon and we can go wheeling. I'd really like to hit up that place by Fredericksburg you were telling me about.

Boogie wagon take 2

Post by 2011RPW » Wed Oct 07, 2015 10:09 am

I know the guys that own/run canyons. Couldn't ask for better; Holland will give the shirt off his back if he thinks you need it. I haven't been able to make it out there though, even though my house is 30 minutes from there. I went to Katemcy a handful of times when it was open. Work kills my free time. Anyway, there's another place south of Junction I've heard good things about, Trees Off Road Ranch. It's like Canyons though, only open on certain weekends. I'd like to make it to Hidden Falls before the year is out though, they're open every weekend.

I can't wheel again hard until I weld my tubes and I get another vehicle. Gotta drive the wagon to work in Louisiana every month at 522 miles each way lol. Knocking down 13 miles a gallon on 40's not to bad. Looking at another job right now. It will be a pretty good pay cut but right next to house with company truck. We will see what happens.

Like the idea of a Texas GTG. Although I feel as though i would need to put a lot more money into my truck to make it with y'all.

Nah, fun for all and all for fun. We should do a Texas gtg, even bone stock power wagons can do pretty amazing stuff. Everyone just do what they're comfortable with and it'll be a good time :winchmob:

Got the rear hubs done. New races bearings and seals as well as upgraded hardware for the spindle locks. Stage8 DNA-60. Much beefier than the factory setup and far easier to use.

That's such a. Good idea. I had a lock ring come loose on my 10.5 last month and it pissed a ton of fluid out all around the front of the rim. Checked it it appears that it just wasn't put on 100% easy to come off either way... Unfortunate design
