I'm thinking cobalt blue or purple.

I guess you could say I'm a bit off center.....

Re: Wingerak92's Sagebrush Wagon
Here's another question, would an engine enamel work well, or should I stick with the rust oleum style spray??

Re: Wingerak92's Sagebrush Wagon
ive always used engine enamel on all my trucks seems to hold up really well, just don't put it on thick because engine enamel runs very easily

Wicked. Thanks!
Re: Wingerak92's Sagebrush Wagon
Nice... I like lavender..... I dont think they make a "lavender" engine enamel though.....
On a serious note. PLasti-dip works wonders.

That's what I got on the grille, but I don't think it would work too well on a diff. Haha.gun45boat wrote:Nice... I like lavender..... I dont think they make a "lavender" engine enamel though.....

I don't think plastidip will hold up well to the heat.

Whatever:):). If it is a diff, then I would just rustoleum that bitch knowing I was going to scratch the shit out of it on a rock, then all you have to do is hit it up with a little more rustoleum to make it look purdy again.
A diff does not run at super hot temps, but it certainly is not going to get hot enough to make a difference anyways. If a diff is too hot to touch with your fingers, then you got something wrong going on inside, or you are pulling to much of a load. And if heat is a concern, then the last thing you want to do is slap a 1/4" thick piece of steel over the top of it
Much less, give a shit about what color you want to paint it.
With the group of people I wheel with (mostly ex-mils) You are going to be leaving the trailride with a diff painted PINK anyways,,,,, because of the ever present "drunken pink pirate" that visits our campfire at EVERY wheeling trip, and so graciously paints front and rear differential covers with a thick layer of Pink spray Paint. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Nobody has been able to catch the "tagger" But he has been "sighted", and is due for a beating LOLOLOLOLOL

Wingerak92's Sagebrush Wagon
Haha. That's exactly why I was thinking of rust oleum. Just cause its going to get scratched right up. Just thought the enamel might be more durable.
I've got to cover it with something at least

Re: Wingerak92's Sagebrush Wagon
Well got emails today, of the three things I ordered, my DT rear diff cover has shipped as well as my filter mag and y-pipe.... The third thing isn't truck related, but it'd be handy when I don't have my leather man on me! http://www.shopbenchmark.com/jasonellis ... hips-8-30/

Times like this I'm glad I'm single. What female would let me keep truck parts in the kitchen?

Re: Wingerak92's Sagebrush Wagon
Lmao! Good point.

Re: Wingerak92's Sagebrush Wagon
Paint your diff cover orange with a Jack-o-lantern face! (get it? since the diff is referred to as a pumpkin? LOL!)

Re: Wingerak92's Sagebrush Wagon
So, I went out looking for some lines for work, and didn't find them. But I did crawl through the pasture and went up a 32* hill! (I'm impressed) I unintentionally got myself stuck in some mud as well. Finally figured out how not ot have to jump into this truck! Haha
Believe it or not, there's a hill here:

Pretty much. In these parts there's nothing to anchor with to winch out either. It was my bad on taking that line.myoung84 wrote:Looks like fun until you went and buried it. Lol
