I got mine aligned to OEM PW specifications wit a 3" Carli lift. If you have issues and it is not loose or defective components then add 0.5 caster to improve steering return to center and high speed stability. When I was stock suspension that improved both wander and death wobble.

nts007 wrote:So here's an odd update. The new factory trackbar i installed is at it again. The rubber bushings seem to have developed a ton of play and I'm back to front end issues. Ordered a carli bar from George today. These steering issues are starting to get to me. Also the recall tie rod end is finally here and will be installed on the 20th. Up till now only 3 of the 4 have been replaced. Could caster issues be part of my issue? Does anyone know if carli has alignment specs for the 3"kit. I think im going to get it realigned.
As AZ said you could get it aligned to p.wagon specs. That seems like the biggest draw back with short arms is you can't run a lot of caster without the death wobble attacking all the time.

I had an align done earlier this year. It went horribly wrong resulting in nearly all tie rod ends damaged due to being left bound up. But when they were lookin for the spec i told them to use the powerwagon spec. I truly don't know what they did and i have been having problems ever since. I used to deal with that tire shop for everything. I knew most of the fellows by name and they knew me. But sadly i have not been there since and will no longer.

Well i got some better news! I believe i have figured out the cause of all my issues. I couldnt figure out why my track bar went bad among other things like my cardon joint. So chattin with George he popped a thought into my head about the possibility of my control arms being an issue. Also an old Chrysler tech and i chatted a bit. Well i had someone drive my truck and apply brakes while i watched the front axle. Well to know my suprise when the pinion shot up like 4 inches. Now I'm no expert but that is BAD!! That twist explains the weird wheel hop, the steering bouncing and DW symptoms as well as why my track bar and Cardon joint keep going bad. Could this be the end? Well my carli track bar is here monday and on Monday i will be ordering a set of control arms from 8lug. I am tired of throwing good money away on this. Please let this be the fix

Yea they look sweet. And tough too. Im out of budget money and the wife is cracking down being i have spent on repairs and upgrades and maintenance nearly what I bought the truck for. I talked to George about the carli and the pure performance. I will be ordering the pure performance/8lug comfort ride control arms unless i can get a good enough reason to spend more. I dont jump my truck and already have very little issues with 37" tires so getting the thuren (as good as i know they are) or even the carli isn't justifiable at this point. Maybe if i wouldnt have had to replace the track bar 3 times i woulda been more keen to. I just am sad i hadnt thought of this being an issue before. I have a good idea how this became an issue but I'm getting past that.

Maybe we could make something work some time. I'd love to have a Canadian meet and greet. But our summers are so short

Lol and we are back. I did decide. I ordered pure performance comfort ride from George this morning. My thoughts at it moves the axle forward. I avoide running wider than 12.5 tires and for 450 shipped down the road i can change my mind. My track bar is here tomorrow too and the control arms might(fingers crossed) be here Friday.
