It has 5.13 gears now. The reason I swapped out the 10.5 rear end for the 11.5 is to be able to put in lower gears!
So you probably won't have any issues with your tranny or t case then?! If you did have tranny issues if imagine there's a kit available to beef up the 68rfe and since the transmissions internally are almost the same as the 66rfe I'm sure you could get some crazy mad scientist to jam it all together and make it bulletproof lol

I pretty much live in Oliver, BC so I am in Canada a lot. I also spend a week hunting sharpies and phez in Havre, MT so I will be closer to you there!
There are several options for tranny and transfer case. I am putting in an Atlas 4-speed for sure. I will probably swap the tranny for a Magnum built unit, but won't do it until I figure out what I'm going to do with the motor! Which may be nothing other than the tuner, headers and a cam or something. Just for longevity reasons!

Havre- not my favorite place to be in Montana. It's windy there ALL THE TIME! However, if you do find yourself a little closer to Missoula I'd love to see the truck in person if you have it. Hell, the least I could do is buy the 1st beer!

I go to Missoula every now and then. I have several friends in Hamilton. Plus I am a Cooper Rifle Shooter so I go to their one shot completion each year. Not this year though. Next time I go there I'll contact you first! Wanna do the Morrison Jeep Trail in our full-size PW's? LOL
Yes, Havre is windy, but the bird hunting is awesome!

Ummmm, yeah I know! It's really quite painful actually. But, it is also the last project vehicle I want to do. I would like to have this for years and years to come. That's one of the reasons why I started with a new modern truck. I want it to last and wanted the comfort and amenities in this one for the long-range adventures. As opposed to the typical buying an old beater and trying to make it work. In my case the typical FJ40 or 60 Series cruisers. They are great, bot so comfortable!
By the way, I don't look at it as "dumping"! LOL

The best part is you have a 2011 where you don't have all the electrical nanny traction control BS that the 2012 and newer models have. Do you know how frustrating traction control is when you are in 4-Low with the lockers locked? I really need a programmer for that.

Black Line-X? Might hold up better than paint, especially if they put that de-icer crap on the roads in Canada like they do here in Montana.

No time for bedliner. Besides my whole cab is arma-coated. I thought a little color on the metal might be nice. I think I will just go with Power Wagon red! LOL
