New seat covers installed today, went with rhinohide from coverking, its heavy leather grained vinyl with about 1/4" padding. The fit and finish were way better than my old covers and should be much easier to clean up after the dogs lol.

Re: Boogie wagon take 2
Finally started routing the air locker pneumatic control circuits today, did a quick mockup to check fitment in the stock switch location.
Using Clippard MJTV-3 3 way air toggle valves to actuate the lockers, they have an input an output and an exhaust port all 1/8" npt threaded
Using 1/4" tube by 1/8" npt DOT quick connect fittings on the input and running one 1/4" line from the air compressor and manifold to a y fitting that splits air to each switch.
The exhaust ports are 1/4" tube by 1/8 npt running the two outputs into a y fitting that combines them and then out to the engine bay into a moroso breather catch can in case of gear oil misting.
The output ports have 1/8" universal thread by 5mm quick connect fittings running out to each axle. At each axle where the line drops from the frame is an arb purge valve to clear the lines of moisture and contamination.
Compressor in the engine bay runs a 1/4" line out to a remote manifold mounted under the steering column in the cab and from there to the switches. I did the extra manifold to add air volume to the supply side to minimize the pressure drop from the long output lines.
Using switch covers on the toggles to prevent accidents lol
Black 5mm air line is from freelin-wade.com it's rated for over 400 psi and 200* Fahrenheit and is uv stabilized. It's also slightly more flexible than the arb blue line.

Got the arb compressor mounted this afternoon, put it up on the core support behind the grill. I'm going to cut off the connector that it came with and replace it with an environmentally sealed deutsch connector and route the air intake up behind the headlight.

Re: Boogie wagon take 2
Realistically that's probably fine, I just like overkill lol.
I ordered an inline water separator/filter to keep crap out of the lockers and lines and a braided stainless leader hose to keep the compressor from cooking the 1/4" air tube. Waiting on some tools and supplies to start wiring everything up. Damn deutsch crimper was almost $300

Re: Boogie wagon take 2
I was surprised it being from arb and not having a water proof set of connectors on it as it's meant to be underhood anyways in the elements. The stainless lines is a killer idea I will have to keep an eye on mine as I'm not sure what the temperatures of the air output will reach after the pumps been on for awhile!

Progress is slow these days, but managed to get a little done with the compressor. Mounted the air dryer and started scoping out the exact location for the auxiliary fuse and relay box.

Nice spot. Should keep it dry most of the time, and clean air. Unless you're about to nerf someone of course lol

Re: Boogie wagon take 2
Hahaha ^^^ well progress is about to be made, in a one step forward two steps back kinda way lol. I realized today that the lower carli ball joints are clocked incorrectly to get a grease gun on them, the rcv axle boot gets in the way
so I'll have to pull the wheel ends and knuckles off and redo the lower joints.
I've also started the wiring process for everything and am using high end materials and techniques. Had to buy a bunch of tools and supplies (never a bad thing) using military tefzel wire and raychem dr-25 jacketing with shrink boots etc. and all deutsch connectors. For passing the wire harness through the firewall I got a deutsch 8 way heavy duty bayonet connector which fit perfectly through the unused clutch rod hole. Hollowed out the cover plate today and got the bulkhead installed.
I'll do a thorough write up of building the harness and fuse/relay block as I go.

Thanks! It's probably overkill but at this point why not lol.
Got the gps antenna mounted and the wire run through the wiper arm bulkhead. While I had the cowl off I cleaned it up and put new weatherstripping.

That's a nice unit pit slave! I just have the hds 5m baja (gen 1) does yours use the point 1 antenna or the smaller one like mine? I haven't seen the point 1 in person but the smaller one i don't think would seal very well without some sort of backing plate or a little something extra. Might need rtv or sealant of some sort down the screw holes as well. I'm curious to see what you come up with man!
