The gfs mother owns a sign shop, every time I help out thats all they use, a single drop of soap in a windex bottle of water. Its pretty forgiving and makes life easy, but be prepared to squegee the craps out of it if you go overboard with it.
Re: Noob's 2013 Power Wagon Build
For the length of the power wagon decal on the hood the wet method is the best, I have tried the soap but found that using a dedicated product is always the best. Rapid Tac has made some of my bigger vinyl installs a lot easier http://www.rapidtac.com/rapidtac.htmlSheepdogOutdoorsman wrote:I think I might do the baby soap & water application method
This plane here all of the color is vinyl and I used the rapid tac and it wasn't easy but being able to the move the sticker around saved a lot of time and aggrivation

Re: Noob's 2013 Power Wagon Build
Picked the decals up today ... I noticed the "Power Wagon" decal has a curve to it. That might be the measurement difference noticed while measuring.

Re: Noob's 2013 Power Wagon Build
When you did your 2" leveling kit did you have to replace your upper control arms as well? Also, roughly, how much do you think your front bumper weighs all together and did it drop the front end any after install?

Noob's 2013 Power Wagon Build
I did not need to replace control arms. As for the weight ... By the time I removed all the factory components it ended up being a wash. No less ... No more ... The whole thing worked out great!14PowerWaggy wrote:When you did your 2" leveling kit did you have to replace your upper control arms as well? Re: Noob's 2013 Power Wagon Build
Appreciate the info... The 4x4 shop that did my Rubicon called around to a few of the leveling kit manufacturers and they all said that since the PW is already 2" higher than a stock 2500 that I would have to do new control arms... I didn't think that was the case as I've seen another 14 PW with a 2" leveling kit and the factory control arms... I like that bumper... I'm in the market for bumpers for mine and just trying to figure out which one to go with...

Re: Noob's 2013 Power Wagon Build
Hey guys,
So, I am new here
. But have creeped this forum lots, I don't have much to add in way of your ( Sheepdog ) build goes.
But! I can offer a few options to Waggy's bumper question.
I am currently pricing out my PW upgrades. I have a 13 Laramie in Copper Head. Love it, with paint matched topper, Will post pictures when I get taptalk on my phone.
Anyways;
Carli Dominator 3 System for my truck where I'm from ( Alberta Canada ) is 7300 and change, little steep, but buy it once buy it right. Am I right?
I'm torn between Fusion Bumpers, Road Armour, and locally made Bullet Proof bumpers, price point on the RA and BP is about the same. But everyone around here seems to be running them or the cheaply made iron cross. The fusions, a buddy of mine just showed me the other day, are sleek and sexy as far as I am concerned. You can find them on FB or just google Fusion Bumpers. They're not readily available in Canada yet, and offer multiple options for light setups, Pre Runner bar, and winch holes. As do all bumpers, but I don't know, its nice to have something different, hence the Wagon.
But, 1125 USD for a front Fusion
200 for the Winch window
150 for the Pre-runner bar
925 for the rear
this is sent in raw steel, as they won't ship painted product to Canada for some reason.
But its a pretty skookum set up if you as me.
But back on to topic, thank you Sheep for a stellar write up, you've given me some ideas for moving my winch controls, I just don't know where inside I am going to put it yet.
Has anyone seen if there is a aftermarket AUX panel for these trucks yet?
Anyways, beauty truck Sheep.
Look forward to sharing the wealth of information with the rest of you all.

Re: Noob's 2013 Power Wagon Build
Hey guys, thought I'd post an update on my build. I ordered a TrailReady rear bumper for my rig to compliment the front and to get rid of some more chrome. They say it'll be finished in about 5-7 weeks. I've provided a photo as a teaser. I'll post some pics of the install and some after-photos when she's on.

Re: Noob's 2013 Power Wagon Build
I was wondering if you could give me the part binders for the winch and brackets? I would like to put them on my 07 2500. Also is there a way to keep a plug outside by the winch and inside the cab?

I appreciate the compliment. I grew up on a dairy farm in Richmond, Michigan. If there's anything you learn growing up on a farm its to do things right the first time. I only wish I was able to document the leveling kit and front bumper installs. They were both big projects and I was short on time. I just needed to get them done. My TrailReady rear bumper should be here in a couple weeks, so I plan to document the install including a set of 4" PIAA reverse lights that mount in the bumper. I'm going to make it so they come on in reverse, but also on a switch so I can turn them on manually. By the end of January I'll be getting my bed and rocker panels Line-X'd and will be putting on a set of White Knuckle sliders. Lots more to come! Stay tuned!

According to what he stated earlier, it is about the same weight as the stock setup. I bet it has to be all of 250-300 though.gun45boat wrote:I agree,,,, Clean!!!!!!! I have to ask,,,, How much does that front bumper weigh in at with the winch??? I am betting over 300 pounds

Re: Noob's 2013 Power Wagon Build
Yeah, I wish you would have documented the leveling kit as well. I would love to see what was done, as it is really about the only thing would do to my future power wagon for a while (or just new springs as long as it leveled it). I have done a half dozen or more leveling kits/spring spacers on dodges, so I know what it entails, but I would just love to see yours anyway hahaha.SheepdogOutdoorsman wrote:olyelr wrote:Just went through your build thread.
