No, it is the Airflow Universal that is then customized to fit my truck. Really a pretty easy thing to do!

http://www.airflowsnorkels.com/details.php?id=119

Speaking of the snorkel, it is going to have to be removed to fit the soon to be fabricated exo-rollcage. I'm bummed about that, but will work something else out in it's sted! With the current lift and how the truck will stand after completion the stock intake would be between 4 and 5 feet off the ground. I think. I'm not sure if I need more than that. LOL. However, it would be nice to get the intake OUT of the engine compartment where so much dust accumulates. In case you didn't know, snorkels aren't as much for water as they are for getting clean air to your motor. They also act as something of a cold air intake as well!

I'd be more interested in one for the later of the two. But also unforeseen water .....[GRIMACING FACE]lol

The snorkel is one of those mod's I'm pretty sure I'll never need (I use my truck for getting around back roads and winter conditions) but I still want. LOL- you guys are a terrible influence!

I was very disappointed to see that even in just about a foot and a half of mud, I had some water in my airbox with the stock setup. IDK if I would ever do a snorkel but, for those who hit deep mud, it would be a necessity!!! Sick build by the way BANGG!!!! (can't wait to read about your adventures too!!!!)

Yes! There will be a Warn 16.5ti in the front Mercenary bumper and another in my own mount out back. in fact they shipped today. I have to give it to WRn as well. They stepped up to the plate n got me the winches fast and at an amazing price. They also tossed a couple hubs in on the deal. I really cant say enough good things about them! They were great to work with

The AAM Rear axle has factory brakes but cromo axles, ARB locker and Nitro gears. An 11.5 is a direct bolt on to the 10.5. Effortless exchange.

Either way I recomend an upgrade from the factory rotors and pads. I did a replacement and went with ebc slotted and dimpled rotors and their yellow stuff pads. Big difference in stopping power. I would even consider upgrading the rubber lines with braided ones. Remember one thing, stopping at a flat grade is nothing compared to going down a hill of 45 degrees with added gear and fuel.

Cutting the frame was one of the scariest things I ever did! LOL. I took me 5 minutes to get the nerve up to do it!

I went with the ARB 37 simply for height. The center console on the truck was 17". The 37 is 16" tall. So after the mounting plate is made it should sit at the same height as the console! I wanted the 50 but since I don't have children and rarely does my little lady go with me a 37 seemed just fine for me and was a perfect fit. The only real problem I see with it is the cold beer is RIGHT THERE!! It will be too tempting to pop the lid and grab a beer when driving. I will have to maintain self control and only do so when I hit dirt and am not driving out that night! LOL

I had to remove the sway bar. You can see the wiring harness hanging down in the pic. I will likely do a Currie AntiRock in the back!

Wow- I could never cut the frame myself. I'd be way too scared!

This however is becoming one of my favorite build threads. I can't wait to see it done and see it out on the trail!

Soon enough. keep in mind there are two builds. right now it is being built for the Ultimate Adventure. Striped down and nimble version. after its over it goes back to shop to be cut and reconfigured for its true finished build. full "expedition" configuration. its like two builds for me. bwahaha. ill have a month to finish that before my two week Vancouver Island slog

back to work now
